I have never used either belay device, but I think this is the appropriate thread to mention that I really enjoy belaying. I've actually never used a belay device; I just sort of rub the rope back and forth around my hips.

Yeah- they've mastered the elusive art of growing/shrinking whilst on route. Me, I only get shrinkage when climbing.
