bronco consider tossing in a few 4x4 sterile pads to help with bleeding.. i actually have a few above the suspension in my helmet. that way i always have a few!!! specially since i try not to climb with a pack.....

i would never go out with a guide unless they were actually amga certified. outside of that, everyone else is just trying to be a guide. pro guide service would probably be the best.

no mt maude sux! it is boring! but that is just my opinion, and i am sure most people enjoy the experience. and i dont think i could be worked up!!

we did the traverse too, a couple of years ago. there was little/no snow on it. thought it was a bit cumbersome, but still prolly faster then going around the other side. and if i ever went back entiat ice fall is the route i would climb!

none, i reserve that privilatge for when i am on my own time.

scuzzy you are right there is alot of ash up at pearly gates, but i dont think it detracts too much from the climbing there. it has a nice concentration of moderates, so it does make it a good area to climb at!! and i showered this am!! we walked into some poison ivy yesterday!! so i have been extra keen on making sure i am bathed properly!!!
