What's the longest pendulum distance horizontally you could theoretically do if the follower plans on using the same rope to lower and get across. I figured 50' with a 200' rope since the follower needs 2x the amount of rope as distance to the next crack. I also assume the leader would need to belay exactly at the height of the pendulum point.
just curious.
i just use a biner and electical tape to stabilize it. Stronger than a plastic one, and being a lefty, most harnesses don't have the left side forward enough anyway. I also have just been putting screws on a shoulder sling recently.
Thanks John,
Both options are too expensive. My mom can line draw with pen and ink and volunteered to trace some photos or diagrams. I was hoping there was something that would magically turn my wavy lines and circles into something nice...or easy to use.
I'm hard at work trying to add pics to my new climbing instruction book. Anyone have a suggestion for a program that someone with no drawing talent (me that is) could use? I have a computer with a touchpad/pen if that helps.
Ok, I always forget this and just want to double check with y'all. If joining two ropes with a knot, you want the knot/pull rope coming out of the bottom of the anchor to prevent pinching, right?
