I live in a giant bucket. Gene Pires and I climbed a new route on Prussik too. Can't say exactly where it goes, but pretty much it follows the crappiest line up until it meets w/the burger/stanley after several dirt chimney pitches. Besides my classic line, someone should try and sort this out and make a topo cuz it sounds pretty messy as FA's go, but with some NICE sounding variations. That reminds me of the first time on Slesse when I lost truck canopy #1. My friend Derek Elliot and I are checking out weather atop a VW van sized boulder in that gulley that goes down onto the glacier. I climb above it to get my pack, he downclimbs and grabs the "keystone". Next thing I know I'm shouting, "DEREK, JESUS CHRIST, DEREK DON'T DIE PLEASE DON'T DIE!" as it literally pushes him down the gulley rolling and tumbling ice axes flailing towards where it pinches off into a perpendicular cliffband. The boulder hits a TINY crimper hold that would be the crux of a 5.17 route (tiny) and totally diverts the path of this titan into the pocket glacier saving my good buddy from a pasty fruit roll-up thin death smearing. He didn't speak for at least a day. I thought he was totally gonna die. Still makes me want to puke.

A good one was soloing Pan dome falls in thin conditions, and drytooling the top 50 feet under 4 feet of unconsolidated powder snow trying to find nubbins on slab rock to get me to the tree anchor with no gloves on after a bad bad breakup! we REALLY need a vomit greamlin! watching formadyhead climb murchison in ultra lean conditions was fun! He's had a bunch (remember Slesse? Soaring canopy, flat tire, treed bear cub and momma bear inbetween, rapping off a piece of snow, nut tool ice ax with boulder shoes, no water, off-route 10c belay off one micro nut.... )

So you are saying, don't "stretch" the image to fit the powerpoint slide borers? If that's what your saying, then wouldn't scanning at a higher dpi solve that problem? IF not, how can I enlarge the photos w/o stetching there borders so they fill out the screen?

can anyone guess I just got a computer? What are some good websites for downloading free music (songs/albums)? Are they legal? I tried doing a search and got bogged down very quick in corporate gimmics trying me to download wierd programs.

I got confused pretty quick with the responses. I'll rephrase it being more specific. I am scanning actual physical slides, negs, and photos on a flatbed scanner with a transparancy/slide/neg adaptor (HP Scanjet 3970) into files that I will paste onto a powerpoint presentation which will then be shown on a lecture hall sized screen. What DPI should I use for each (or all). Flowchart: (photo,slide,neg)---(hp scanjet 3970)---(file)---(powerpoint)---(screen)---(audience)---(memory)---(obscurity or legend)

what resolution should I scan a 3x4 photo, and likewise negative, and slides so I can present them on the big screen w/o the pixels showing?
