  1. Do you have any blog where we could read your TR?
  2. Nice work! Thanks for the excellent TR with pics.
  3. Dave, Got it, thanks for the explanation.
  4. Hey Dave, I've never done this route and just curious why are you planning to set a high camp at camp Hazard? With such warm weather we have now isn't it more safe to set a camp lower? Thanks, Nikolay

  8. Hi, Friend of mine asked me to post this message here. ================================================= Ben Horne and his climbing partner are missing in Peru. If some of my South American friends know how to arrange a plane in Peru, please help! Ben and his parents helped us a lot at WS100, and he is a just such a great guy and an athlete. Info from Konstantin Stoletov: My friend, Ben, and his friend Gil, went to attempt a first ascent on the south face of Palcaraju Oeste in Peru and have been missing for over 5 days now. A search team found Ben and Gil's tent, followed tracks up the glacier to the base of the route (a 800 m face of steep snow and ice), and spotted tracks on the descent ridge at about 5,800 m. That's all they know so far. Friday morning, they plan to take a satellite image of the 5800m mark (at Lat: 9°22'19.71"S; Long: 77°23'4.67"W), and to have a group on foot climb the ridge to the 5,800m mark. (It may be too dangerous to proceed, since the ridge does have a section of very broken glacier.) They desperately need to do a flyover of the area ASAP, but haven't been able to find a plane, despite major efforts to do so. If you know anyone in Peru who could lend or rent a plane, please contact Liora (202) 558-8346;lioradanan@gmail.com Please forward this message. You may know someone who can help. ============================================================ We appreciate you for any help. Thank you. Nikolay.
  9. Looks great! Thanks for the update. Seems that avalanche danger is pretty high now?
  10. Depends on what you want. Pandome is OK now, just returned home from it.
  11. BTW, guys, in what time you were at the trailhead or Narada Falls parking? I'm asking cause on Sunday we were trying to reach the summit and had to go back from the saddle as we hadn't enough daylight time to return after being on top.
  12. Yesterday we were in Mt.Rainier NP. Still no climbable ice in Narada Falls and near Nisqually bridge
  13. The same question but about Leavenworth and Snoqualmie pass area(Denny creek) on this weekend. What do you think?
  14. awesome, thanks!
  15. Yeap, now seems that more ice are in on Banks.
  16. Banks Lake on 01/01/2012 - Devil's Punch Bowl Leavenworth on 01/02/2012 - Hubba Hubba area There was almost no ice on the Banks Lake area on 01/01, just Devil's Punch Bowl was in. And Hubba Hubba isn't in right now in my opinion, low protection possibility.
