  1. Thanks Bill! :kisss: Nah, I went ice climbing. How typical that can be? RIGHT ON, GIRL!! Happy Birthday! I wish we lived closer! Not many girls her in the Interior to go on epic adventures with. Oh well... I can do epic solo.
  2. That is Awe.Some. One of my fave movies.
  3. HEY!! WOW!! Thank you so much, Summer!!! YES! I AM SO INCLINED!! I get 2 weeks off every month so hell yeh lets go! I LOVE Eburg, too!! And I almost moved to Ellensburg last year (LOVE D&B Coffee!) but it's a hassle getting back and forth to the airport since I'll be commuting to Alaska every two weeks for work. I'm still at work now but GO HOME DAY TOMORROW!!! WOHOO!! but it's gonna be 60 below ambient in Fairbanks. HOLY SHIT!
  4. I donated money to the website...because I love you all! I don't donate much to any causes, but I like this site and appreciate the mods contribution. Actually, you don't have to have a PayPal account. I don't have one--I just made a donation purchase with my credit card and that was it. Simple, painless.
  5. THANKS Blue! Awesome information that I will USE. I appreciate the feedback (and from WAYNE too). Well, I will look into the Canadian guide thing. I'm at work in Alaska right now off the Beaufort Sea coast. SUCKS balls up here now... windy, blowing, I cannot wait to get back to the REAL world! Got three more days up here, but then I go to my cabin in Fairbanks where it's friggin' 45 BELOW now...good lord. Hard to ride my bike at those temps! I'm going so crazy wanting to do outdoor frolicking!! And I have my John Long book at home--not much time to read anything at work. THANKS AGAIN ALL!!!
  6. just don't forget the bug-net for the bivy! got it, let me know when we're going! ... I'm in!!!
  7. yay!
  8. Oops. I shouldn't encourage bad behavior. Sorry. And thanks to those who posted the helpful information.
  9. Damn. I'm going to lose some sleep over G tonight. [video:youtube]
  10. 8D I don't think I ever asked for a mans' essence. Nope...can't recall saying to a guy, "Can I have some of your essence?"
  11. Oh, cool! So you aid then? I love you G; will you marry me?
  12. Awwww yeh.... Will you be my friend, Dave7?
  13. Um, yeah, like that goatfucker would know. Oh, and I'm assuming you meant "angel"... And I'm sure you are... the sweetest angle is the angle having the most fun, and in your case that would be a 3/4 angle Sheesh.... I dunno Alex, I think I'm more partial to right angles.. ever since that SOHCAHTOA thing.
  14. Don't ask why, Sobo. I don't know... probably for the same reason I'm drawn to biking on snowy trails at 30 and 40 below on my Fat Bike....where you max out at 4 mph. I'm the sweetest angle on earth-- past, present future...just ask G-spotter.
  15. Good point and reminder.. I do tend to want to rush into things. Oh, I LOVE SQUAMISH! <3 the most magical place in North America. If anyone is willing to pay for my plane tickets to Canada, you got a belay slave at your beck and call 24/7 in Squamish.
  16. Thanks, Ivan! The Dark Side....screw Yoda. Ooo...i do have a grigri so I'm off to a bit of a good start, then. I'm originally from OR, so I'm sure I'll be down in your area this fall. I used to work in Prineville and spent time at Smith Rock (not climbing much, mostly working for the BLM). I'll be in the area in late Feb and then making my move this April/May maybe the timing will work for us. Do you do a fair amount of solo-ing? Hmm.... I must have deleted my sentence saying that my ultimate goal is to aid solo... for the very reasons you described and i don't like depending on others...ropes make me nervous when I'm tethered to another person. Thanks!
  17. So ever since I started climbing, big walls/aiding appealed to me. I guess I like grueling pain and the feel of my shoulders burning as I use ascenders. Of course, my first move is to start leading more climbs. I'll be moving to Central WA, Wenatchee, this spring and getting back into the climbing scene. I know I'm not moving to Yosemite, but I think Index has some places where I can flop. I want to be as efficient as possible in my training/ learning of big walls, and if I can learn from folks here that would be AWESOME! Where are some good places to start and are there any schools/courses or people who are willing to take out n00bs in WA?? (I'm a very safe and good belayer) Thanks for any help. *edit: Yes, I do have John Long's/John Middendorf's Big Wall Book.
  18. Roger. However, I think there may possible be the most coolest guy not far from me who I haven't crossed paths with yet.....
  19. Umm..I don't think so. Why Eugene or Bellingham?
  20. Actually, you are very much correct, G. Talk about a bunch of gun-totin' homosexuals here and that's one reason I'm leaving Alaska. I'll visit, but I need a real live honest-to-goodness man. Things sure have changed in this state.
  21. very much so......
  22. It sure did. Really though....serious questions don't belong in the Spray Forum. I HAD to do something.
  23. Innocent... riiiiiiight...
  24. I'm 100% woman through and through.... and I'm old. So, I'm wiser than a 20-something dingbat female psychology major.
  25. Hi Sobes. Sixth sense? I thought that's when you see dead people.
