  6. Entertain us! Thats sweet that you are getting out again, that fall sounded friggin nasty.
  7. Congrats man! were you with the same Dane that fell off some rock route and got seriously screwed up??
  8. Headed up to the Sumallo Cirque on Saturday (Rideout, sumallo, Payne) Theres lots of ice forming up but no snow on the walls. With the recent snowfall and cold temps some routes might start coming into condition. Approach is still cake, we parked the 2WD car shortly after turning off the main road and only walked 45 minutes before reaching the end of the road. High clearance 4X4 could get further. Im heading back up Friday and will get some pics (if the weather is clear). I'll keep you guys posted.
  9. looks like a good time guys!
  10. Sure loks like you guys had great weather!
  11. haha... I was just messing around dude. I think YOU are the one that can't take a joke... Although it is hard to catch sarcasm over an internet forum. And FYI, no, my Dad does not chaperone my trips, I don't have a bedtime. And I Plan and fundraise all my own trips/gear, and have a job and skipped a grade in school. Im far more independant that most kids my age. good luck in your partner search.
  12. Water mixes with oil and shit on the road... thats why it is slippery
  13. I find water doesn't decrease friction on its own. If there is a bit of algea or other particles on the rock the water ir running on then you get slippery rock. Also, I know chalk decreases friction. Thats why we have little brushes to brush chalk off holds. To dry your hands you should dip in your chalk bag and then blow/clap to get all that excess chalk off your hands.
  14. sorry, bit your sig suggests to me that you lack the maturity I look for in a climbing partner
  15. I want to do Chair and Triple Couloirs...if they come in on Christmas break send me a PM for sure!
  16. Ya, I never get out. I don't have cable TV or video games lol... I have friends that sit on their asses for 6 hours playing video games. Seriously, wtf is with that?
  17. The trip was pretty sweet, except for the swan dives in the blowdown. Definitely a good calf-burning route! The route is really nice right now. The neve is super easy to climb and never feels sketchy, even in the steepest sections. Thanks for the great trip guys! The route from the valley Snow covered moraine near the base of the couloir Middle section Looking down The upper section Don finishing the couloir Looking down the south side Great view pretty mountain On descent Still on descent Good angle showing the proper steepness of the couloir Sunset on the hike out
  18. maybe Im just old, but I thought you could still get a driving permit at 15? Nope, in Alberta you can get it at 14 but in B.C and the states its 16 (i think)
  19. Im climbing some ice in Gold Bridge.... I totally thought you are turning 16!
  20. What do you guys think is the funniest thread in spray? I personally liked the Dariarus (I think I spelled that right) thread... its sooooo long! Or pictures of very large housecats.
  21. Braydon's 16th birthday is actually in two days but Ill be gone for the next three days so I am making the thread now. Happy Birthday dude! Have a good one! Everyone in issqua should stay off the roads (and sidewalks) from now on...
