Thanks! I'm no climber, but am a scrambler.... so would ice axes, crampons and a helmet be good enough for technicle equipment?

Is Mount Stuart Technicle? I hear there's a class 3 route.... is this true? Also if anyone knows the route, it would be very much appreciated to know the name of it. Also I am 16 years old with ok scrambling experience.

I need a partner to go up Mount Adams, I live in Lynnwood so I'm a bit north. I have much hiking experience and some scrambling experience. I went up Mount Adams to the false summit once, had to turn around because it was too icy and windy, although the wind wasn't that much of a factor. Now I have crampons, last time I had ice axe, but no crampons. My scehdule is very flexible, most days of July would be fine, although in August I'll be away for three weeks.... the reason I've gotta lot of time on my hands is due to summer vacation. Ok, I know what most of you are thinking, "Why the heck would I want to teach a 16 year old crevasse rescue" but I thought it would be atleast worth a try and ask. I have lots of snow experience and of coarse hiking experience and some scrambling experience, but wanted to take it up a notch, nothing to crazy, but wanted to get into simple glacier travel. I also have studied ropes, so I know a bit about rope tying, I have crampons, ice axe, perlon and all that good stuff (although I need a helmet which I may be able to get soonish). I would even be willing to do work for someone if needed, the reason I did'nt join the mountaineers is because it's expensive, even with a scholarship. If anyone is willing, please let me know, I very very very much want to learn about it. Oh and I can also be a personal sherpa. Note: I have one of my friends who is in the mountaineers who is willing to be someone to come along. (Due to the probability of needing 3-4 people total including my friend and me) I'm in fairy good shape, although I could improve that by running again, and if needed study more knots and such.

It looks like it was fun! I plan on coming here for my first time in a week or so. I hope the weather holds up. I been wanting to go here for over a year now. Nice trip report, for some reason I liked the photo before getting to camp Muir when barly able to see Mount Rainier. Even though the photo did'nt turn out well, I can tell theres a mistical look to it. Thanks for sharing! Cheers Josh Lewis.

Should'nt the Mountain Loop highway have its own section on this site? Or is the North Cascades combined with the Mountain Loop Highway?

Accordering to this site http://www.nps.gov/noca/planyourvisit/road-conditions.htm the Cascade River road is washed out again! Thats too bad because It is my favorite hike. Hope they repair it soon!
