  2. I would really like to climb Rainier this year, but my only big mountain experience is climbing Mt. Adams twice via the South route, which we all know is really just a steep hike on snow. I have not had a crevasse rescue class, but I do have many years of trad climbing under my belt. I have all the equipment I need (crampons, harness, etc.) and I'm in decent enough shape. Would anyone with the skills be kind enough to take me on as a partner this summer? I'm available almost any day in July.
  3. That was the most crowded I've ever seen Tieton (never been there before on M-Day weekend). But the beauty of that place is there are so many spots to climb (and camp!) that the masses just don't go to.
  4. Is anyone interested in climbing the Tooth (south face) on Sunday? or a climb along those lines/grade? I've logged plenty of time climbing in the warmer months, but this would be my first winter climb, fyi. I have 'pons, shoes, rack (no snow/ice protection), rope, and wheels.
  5. Can anyone recommend some good multi-pitch routes no harder than 5.6 for free-soloing? Preferably on the east side for dry rock. Thanks.
  6. My partner for stuart west ridge just bailed on me. Looks like crummy weather anyway, don't you think?
  7. please post your trip reports on this site
  8. We were on Dirty Sanchez on Sat. and saw you fall...big fall. We found your gear on Sunday. Just sent mail to your google.
  9. Tieton was perfect all weekend.
  10. Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. On to plan C!
  11. Any chance 3 o'clock rock or green giant will dry out for tomorrow, given it doesn't rain anymore (I know...haha)?
  12. Partner bailed on me for a leavenworth weekend. lead 5.9 trad, also have rack, rope, and transpo. would prefer an overnight trip. live in seattle. if the other posts haven't panned out, shoot me an email and let's enjoy the nice weekend! good luck- craig
