I'm interested in Big Four but I think the conditions would have to be great. Backing off a headwall or long snow route sounds scary! In January/ Feb it would be great to try a ridge route in the Stuart group... if snow and weather were good. There ought to be a couple of easy options that take you on and off rock. Your other plans sound awesome. ... Always looking for safe partners for alpine stuff. Cheers

`Git some while it's in...

I might be up for something alpine the weekend of the 28th... If the weather was iffy, maybe Goode, scouting Bear Mountain or something. Cheers
-
I could do something 11/29, Sat - Sunday.... Planning would even make it easier to resist over indulgence in the Thanksgiving! A headwall might be fun.

I'm interested in trying Liberty Crack the first weekend in Novemember if the weather cooperates. Maybe if the weather wouldn't too. It looks like the face is still pretty dry and it would be nice to get in there before the road closes. I have some extra gear and a little determination; no health insurance though....

[TR] North Early Winter Spire - Flycatcher Route 9/27/2008

Nice work! Good to hear about some exploring up there. Sweet overview photo too. -
These are a pair of 2004 Grivel Rambo Comps. They're in perfect shape and a aggressive water ice crampon. I use them climbing alpine too. Grivel only made them for two years so there's no anti-ballers but you could make something pretty easily (I used red duct tape). They're a fixed-plate firm, fully adjustable and fit any step-in boot system. More here http://www.grivel.com/Products/Dettaglio_ramponi.asp?ID=15 I'm asking $80. Feel free to call after 5pm. I have some time off next week and would like to get in a couple of alpine climbs. Especially if this weather holds. Day trips would be okay but would like to try Mt Goode, Early Wint Spire, S Face of Prussic, Liberty Crack or Town Crier again. I have some extra gear if someone's starting out and can lead trad to 'easy' 10a....
-
I'd like to do some cragging in LV Friday, Saturday. Ideally climbing Outer Space and Pearly Gates Saturday. I could lead to 10a trad and follow a little harder, unless it's toes in. Would also be up for s. faec of Prussic. I have some extra gear if someone's starting out..... (971)404-6492

I'd lead to ~10a and have some extra gear; would be totally interested in doing one of the longer routes. Or Index....
-
The weather forecast looks great... I'd be up for some 5.9 trad or trying harder climbs and would be totally excited about more sunshine. Monkey Face might be fun too
-
sweet tr - rawkin trip. are the 5.9s pretty consistent or do nuts fill in for a few cams?

Looking for partner for Liberty Ridge July21-23
webnick2007 replied to jpark42's topic in Climbing Partners
I have the week off and would be into a climb, if not on Rainier, something like the Torment-Forbidden traverse or Gunsight Peak?? -
Backbone ridge of Dragontail? I'd be in for that anytime over the next three weeks!
-
Is this anal gear? I've heard you have to be careful with it in splitters?

[TR] Torment-Forbidden - Traverse 6/28/2008

Nice TR! Maybe the critter was a pika. The route's probably more dangerous in mating season. -
Hi, I'm in need of a partner for the end of the month. I'd be interested in other alpine objectives but this was one I had in the calendar.
-
I'd be willing to lead Or try to
-
yeah, probably. To get accidentally hit with a softball size rock on rappel, 971-404-6492

I think it's called McMillan? I'd like to get out for the nice weather and try something scenic in the North Cascades or head up there for moderate rock climbing. I know there rock routes are dry and it looks great!
-
Sweet photos! Looks like snow conditions were great up there. Thanks for sharing

I was thinking about skiing up to Camp Muir this weekend and would love another slow, irregular and emotive partner. Colchuck or Shucksan might be other fun options? Nick (971)404-6492

Keep us posted on your dates as they get closer..............

There are a couple of interesting looking routes on that side of the mountain. I'd be into something and have a block of time off but have been know to snivel on route

April rock climbing trip - Hi I have a week off in April and would like to take a long rock-n-road trip somewhere. Or of course, climb Waddington. Red Rocks or JT Tree would be fun and I'd consider other options driving out of Seattle. Right now I'm leading 5.8+ trad and 9+ sport. It would be great to get on some longer routes. Thanks!
