  1. Long shot I do believe. Would like to climb in Tasmania and Mt buffalo Jan-Feb 2014. Have a possible partner for a few weeks who lives in the blue mts, but has other commitments. If anyone is interested shoot a text 907 518 4158. Been wanting to do this trip for years. Tassie is lots of adventure climbing.
  2. Probably a long shot. Looking for partners Jan to mid Feb. I have a car stashed in Moab. No reservations yet, but planning to pick it up around the new year. Hoping to climb for the next six weeks. Arizona back country is top of the list, granite mt, cochise, coyote domes, but I'm totally flexible. Climb where the weather allows. end up in jtree if I can't line people up. I lead in the 10's. send a text to 907 518 4158. eric
  3. hey, I'm in Bham the next 6 weeks working but with a very flexible schedule and looking to do some ice climbing! I have tools, but no screws, or local knowledge. Haven't lead any waterfall ice ever. Looking to try. Been trad climbing for ten years, followed/TR ice half a dozen times, been on alpine ice in the mountains. staying in the squalicum harbor eric 907 518 4158
  4. Heading over Highway 20 on monday. Hope to meet up with someone to climb with in Leavenworth or washington pass next week. Really I'm open to just about anything that includes some walking and getting on rock. I lead in the 10's on gear. Meeting some friends at the city of rocks sept 2nd. Looking to fill some time before the trip. call my phone 907 518 4158. thanks for looking.
  5. Partner bailed on trip to Needles, still want to make the trip. Looking to climb for 10 days to two weeks. I have til September 15th. Could be there last week of august at the earliest. I lead low grade ten's on gear. Can follow eleven's. No real agenda except to be climbing in the kern valley. good place. Someone must be thinkin something similar? Car in Santa Cruz to use. I will be flying in from alaska. Other areas considered but my vehicle is in the bay area. eric
  6. Looking for a climbing partner the first week of jan for El Potrero chico. My usual partners can't swing it this winter. I've never been there. I would be open to other areas as well, maybe even cuba. I'm looking for warm and sunny. I'm thinking at least a month, maybe more. I have access to a car if need be in southern California. I lead in 10's trad climbing. Not sure about sport climbing, its been a while. write me at eric_grundberg@hotmail.com
  7. 5.10 Gambits size 11.5/45 New in box, never even tried on. $100 or trade for gear. I bought for $140 in Joshua tree couple weeks back, never had to use them. Now I need the money. I'm in seattle til Mon or can mail them after that. email me at eric_grundberg@hotmail.com thanks
  8. you might be down there right now....but if you still need information for your trip. Me and a partner crossed the ice cap via from Lago electrica and paso de los vientos in 2003. I just did a search for trip reports in Paine. I'm hoping to put together a climbing trip next winter.
  9. pm sent. Anytime between this friday and may 4th is good for me. I guess I would prefer weekdays.
  10. I'm looking for a partner for Red Rocks for two weeks in April. I was hoping to be there April 1st-15th. I lead sport in 5.9-5.10 range comfortably and moderate trad routes comfortably (5.7 range.) I'm most interested in doing more moderate trad stuff, but really I just want to get some climbing in. Leading, following, sport or trad, multi pitch its all good, whatever your up for. I've never been to RR. It would be great if you wanted to share the rental car costs or had a car in the area. Anyways, I'm 29 I've been climbing for 6 years. I have lots of ski mountaineering/ mountaineering/ sport climbing experience. Not much trad leading. All I need now is to find a partner, all the usual suspects have to work. I'm open to other areas as well. I will probably end up in Joshua tree in hidden valley looking for a partner if this post doesn't bear fruit. thanks, eric
  11. hey, I'm looking for a partner for Red Rocks near that time. I was hoping to be there April 1st-15th. I'm not into the clinics, but would be willing to show up the day after if a partner was lined up. I lead sport in 5.9-5.10 range and lead moderate trad routes comfortably (5.7 range.) I have a small rack as well, but its growing. I'm most interested in doing more moderate trad stuff, but really I just want to get some climbing in. Leading, following, sport or trad, multi pitch its all good. I've never been to RR, so I don't know about the quality of the camping, but I've been told you definately need wheels. I would be great if you wanted to share the rental car costs and camp out. Anyways, I'm 29 from Alaska, climbing off and on for about 6 years. If your interested or if anyone else needs a partner in this time period give me a shout. eric
  12. I have an 170 burton split board with interface hardware, skins and crampons. Its in great condition only rode 20 times max in alaska backcountry. Its the last year burton made their own interface hardware. 2004 I think. Nevertheless, its a good board and price. I can send pictures if people are interested. You need your own binding. $400 plus shipping thanks, eric
  13. I've been trying to get to the city of rocks for a couple years now. When generally does the season start? Can you climb in April? I guess it depends of the snow pack and road access.
  14. In moab now, looking to head south. I am novice trad climber. Can follow most moderate stuff. Not really leading. Looking for partner for Indian creek, cochise stronghold, or maybe red rocks and joshua tree til mid dec. I'm just looking to climb. I have small rack and gear. eric
  15. Heading to Moab looking for one or two folks to split gas. Planning to visit friends and do a couple towers if its warm enough. After that head south by southwest in December to climb. You could continue on if we work well or head back to the northwest by your own means or whatever. I'll be in Seattle from alaska nov 5th. I don't need a travel/climbing partner, but would'nt mind meeting one if the trip sounds appealing. My background is mostly sport climbing and general mountaineering but I have rack now and have started to trad climb. Looking to do more. write me at eric_grundberg@hotmail.com
