  1. We are headed up to Paradise tomorrow (Sat) about 0915 to go over some basic mountaineering and crevasse rescue. I know most of the climbers on the thread have climbed. Good opportunity to meet some more climbers. Wouldn’t mind some new techniques tossed around. Look for the silver 4 runner with kayak rack if you want to join us. Not going far up, just enough to hand over. Scott
  2. We are headed to Rainier Saturday for a quick go over of some basic mountaineering and crevasse rescue. Should be a easy hike up to a close by cornice. If you want to join in shoot me an email for time and link up location
  3. Ok I have decided on climbing Rainier on 2-4 July. Hopefully we can get up in down in time to celebrate the 4th. If you would like to climb with us, shoot me a note.

  6. About 730 or 8 at paradise. Of course depends on the gate opening
  7. I am still looking at putting a couple of teams together. If you want to meet up and talk with a couple of team members we trying to get up to Camp Muir this Sat for some conditioning. Scott
  8. A couple of my buddies are going to try and get up to Camp Muir this Sat. If you are still looking to climb this summer come on out this Sat for a walk in the snow. Scott
  9. We all need to link up over a beer or coffee and talk some dates. What do you all think? Somewhere in Seattle if good with me. Scott
  10. Not a girl and wouldn't put it past some people to do what you guys are saying. I just need some one to make sure I am not doing the wrong things and willing to teach a old dog new tricks. I have been climbing along 90 and live near Tacoma.
  11. Thinking about a hike up to Camp muir on Sat. As for what route this summer, I don't know yet. I have two newbies for my Army unit that want to go. I perfer to go with some more experience climbers, but can't just shuck them aside. So I was looking at two teams. So if you guys are still interested I can use all the help I can get.
  12. Looking for someone to teach me a little or a lot more then what I know about rock climbing. Not a big fan of the gym. I have done some rock and alpine, but would like to get better at it.
  13. Right on. Have you been up Rainier before? Or Baker, Adams?
  14. Do I need a 10.5mm to climb Rainier with 3 people or is it over kill? Can I get away with a 9mm + or - at 50m? Joe
  15. Looking at climbing this summer with a couple of friends. I have been a up Rainier a couple of time. So we are looking for some more climbers to head up with us. Anyone interested?
