  1. New with tags Arc'Teryx Theta SV Bibs size medium. Retail is $425. I'm asking $250 and this includes shipping. Cheers
  2. Am I the only one who sees the face on index finger pic #1? Looks a lot like those moai easter island statues.
  3. Looks like a fine day of climbing! the shadow pic makes it look like big five.
  4. Some old Grivel crampons I've had hidden away in the garage. Think these are worth any cash? The number 43 is stamped into the metal, think this is the year they were made? They look to be about that age but Im no expert.
  5. That there sounds like some Dan Osman shit
  6. This was last spring.. sometime in april I think. Recorded it, watched it a few times and just ignored it for a while. Finally got around to posting it.
  7. No... I didn't hurl myself off the monkey, but a bunch of other dudes did. I came hiking over misery ridge to get some kiss of the lepers action when I saw a crap ton of monkeys standing, atop the monkey. Heard someone nearby say something Base Jumping so with camera in hand I scrambled up to a nearby ledge with a view. After a lot of photo taking tomfoolery and standing around, one decided to start asking about the wind. One dude from down at the river shouted southwest, and another shouted northeast. Someone else starting yelling about the rules of reporting wind. Anyways, they finally tossed themselves, and here it is. For a moment I spoke with one of the jumpers afterwards. Mark maybe? He was way too excited to make any kind of sense. He chattered out some words, pounded the fist and took off up the trail.
  8. I can deal with some cold.. and the rain, as long as it stays at 30% its alright, at smith that means its basically a 0%, the 2 years I was in the neighborhood that was usually the case.
  9. Anyone going this week or weekend (wednesday or after)?? Good weather there this weekend. Not looking for a climbing partner, just a ride. But if you want to partner up thats cool too. Will pitch on gas and (good) beer.
  10. Sweet! I assume you came down the old chute? how was that?
  11. Wallowas? North cascades? Olympics? Im in Portland, car-less, but will split gas even. Let me know what you think! Dorian
  12. Thanks for the Beta! Its good to know, especially the sandbagging part. And yes, if there's any climbs you recommend, trad under 5.9 or good, solid scrambles, please do let me know. Seems like quality rock on the peaks is somewhat hard to find in the area, besides the bugs of course. We will also be hitting the whistler area.. Sounds like the Dougherty guide is the best one. Is it worth having the scramble guide if you get the "selected alpine climbs" book, is there some overlap there?
  13. Moderate trad climbs, snow and ice routes if they're not all melted out, and long scrambles on good rock are all on the to do list.
  14. Hey yall Im heading to canada, to the lake louise and jasper national park mountains for some climbing action. What guidebook(s) do you recommend for these areas?
