  1. An apt piece from the NYT yesterday, outlining the threat of a uranium-producing NK, and our completely ineffective tactic of isolation
  2. Indeed Yay, another product to spend $$ on! I'm surprised nobody on this thread has mentioned skratch labs yet, but maybe that's just a cycling fad
  3. I haven't seen all that outrage, I guess. Certainly nobody seems that surprised. They certainly seem to be trying to give us the impression that they're actively improving their nuclear technology, but I guess that remains to be seen. Assuming they are successfully building new smaller uranium devices I wonder what should/can be done about it? Basically pay them to stop testing? Uranium enrichment facilities are pretty easy to hide.... Of course, there is the philosophical question of finer even have the right? Personally, I think our ally South Korea is the real risk. And Japan. I read South Korea is ramping up their ballistic missile program in retaliation. That works perfectly for the North Koreans, whom I suspect have no real intention of going to war But do we want a country like NK enriching and weaponizing uranium? Probably not. It's a sticky widget
  4. I guess everyone is wondering if this was their first uranium weapon? I guess we'll know in a few days when the isotopes drift over the border. Didn't NK claim they were starting uranium enrichment a few years ago? Makes sense they'd have enough by now
  5. I thought they had plutonium for about six bombs, but that the impact of this test was that they were testing a new miniature design towards their goal of getting one small enough for one of their shitty rockets. Or do you think that's fake and they just rolled out one of their old, cob webbed relics out of the garage? Hard to say with North Korea You really think they're following a rational course? Sounds like a waste of money and resources to me, especially for them
  6. We should have just copyrighted the A-bomb, then we could use the DMCA to shut down their facebooks because of Scientology
  7. this is my favorite hamstring stretch of all time holy shit that hurts so good
  8. Obviously the solution to nuclear proliferation is...more nukes! We should have them in every elementary school, at least. Also, you guys are crazy: korean food is NAST!
  9. regardless, I hear the U.N. is "really going to take action this time, we mean it"
  10. Excellent points, although it's worth mentioning that the U.S. never signed agreements not to build nuclear weapons or test them in exchange for money and concessions and then reneged after receiving payment. To be fair.

Imagine how many crazy fundamentalists would love to get at this guy's family. I wonder how long his identity will remain secret/ it seems like only a matter of time

    the shooter

I saw a Fox article about the Esquire article (which is the only known interview with the shooter in existence), and the author summarized the piece by saying the shooter was "bitter" towards the government and "demanding recognition and money." I remember wondering if that Fox "correspondant" even read all seven pages of the article. LOL probably not. He probably just had O'Reilly sum it up for him in the hallway. "Damn freeloading goodfornothings, demanding handouts"

Didn't the Romans used to give these guys a chunk of land in the country to farm? Somewhere without too many people

I wonder why there hasn't been more reporting on the LAPD's assault of that SUV. I saw a few mentions of it on other sources but you'd think it would get a lot more attention.

Pretty scary source, dude, coming disappointingly close to rationalizing and justifying an obviously dangerously-deranged man's misguided push against the system. I hope nobody makes this guy a mascot - regardless of any widespread corruption within the LAPD he's obviously a dangerous psychopath and this article is almost a defense of him. It's too bad, because it detracts from the important message. There are way better sources of information that this topic

    Fewer guns, buddy. FEWER
  17. I like .40, that's a good caliber for a handgun. I'm not a fan of Glock's industrial design, though, I would probably go Beretta that doesn't look so German or whatever. They make a subcompact in .40 that would probably be good for smaller hands.

Lol do people really PM you just to whine about a poster? Why you? Are you the official anti-tvash spokesman or something? How about you guys just ignore him? Lol Jesus Christ its like grade school in here. Even my 10 year old daughter knows how to ignore someone she doesn't like. Isn't there a whole "ignore user" function? Somebody call the fucking waaaambulance already, jeez Right?
  24. HSAs are not for everyone, first of all don't you have to have a high-deductible plan to even qualify? My high-deductible plan that qualified me for an HSA comes with a $3750 deductible and another 2k of "coinsurance", and an HSA is useless if you don't have that kind of disposable income to put into it.
