Hate? I don't think so, but there are a handful of avatars on this site I believe are beyond simple contempt. Why hide it? Why should I sit back and take insults without responding well beyond what you consider in-kind. I see Tvashtarketena is chiming in too, but I can't see any of his bile--I have had him on "ignore" for about a month. I'm sure his spew meets the balanced and civil standards you apply when meting out your admonishments. I grew up in woodinville. We had an old horse pasture in which the neighborhood kids and I played baseball all spring and summer. No aluminum bats. No helmets. Pillows and trashcan lids for the bases. Remember the feel of a wooden bat connecting with a fastball? Fucking good times.

so, why not have some rich financers and maybe some grass roots organizations who care about this issue set up a completely non-profit insurance company whose goal is to minimize operating costs and hassle for it's subscribers while paying for as much of health costs to it's subscribers with an affordable premium? no, i'm not talking about the federal government, but a private non-profit company. Like a private, insurance co-op? Sounds like a good start. Don't things like this exist?

I don't see why congress is involved. It seems like a monumental waste of taxpayer's money.
