    I suspect that the NPS is targeting an 8% grade, as that is the maximum grade allowed for ADA

     

    can't interstate freeways go up to that grade?! I'm sorry, but that standard is Retarded (pun intended)

     

    Well Thatcher. You have obviously never spent any of your life in a wheelchair. I cannot believe you are so ignorant. It is hard having a decent quality of life as it is living with a disability, and then people like you critcize for wanting rights.

     

    It is really hard pushing yourself up any type of ramped incline so I can't imagine it would even be ADA addressing the trail issue.

     

     

     

    How about you stop complaining about people living with disablities and get off your ass and start hiking a little further off the beaten path and use your legs because you actually can.

    You guys should try naked skiing! Last summer I was up on Baker, on the back side of Table Mt. for a little morning jaunt. There was no one around. I whipped off my clothes, only leaving my giant straw sun hat, and prayed I didn't fall and get corn burn on my patootie!

    I think you should learn more about rattlesnakes. You will find they are amazing creatures. They have enough to struggle with, without being killed by humans. It is unnecessary are cruel.

    Boy, you were in HIS habitat. You were in HIS home. He wasn't in your backyard.

     

    I am not against eating animals, my family has been butchers for over 210 years. I am going to start raising rabbits for meat too. You are stupid and ignorant if you kill a snake for just being a snake. The meat isn't worth it, they play an important ecological role and it is just plain cruel. It really isn't cool Jamin.

     

    Here is a picture of a beautiful den of snakes we used to visit and collect data. No snakes were or ever have been harmed.

    One time, while climbing in the Trangos I used a carabiner, but I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!

     

    I'll never forget when I looked down and thought "WAHHHH? WHAT IS THIS CONTRAPTION ANYWAY???!!!!!!!"

    This is a serious discussion, so I hope you are not kidding and polluting what constitutes a "big wall"

     

    Concerning CARABINERS:

    I was sitting around in hut in the bugaboos discussing this issue "what is a carabiner" with my very close climbing friends waiting for a weather window to open up. Mike said it was to help climb, Beth said," if it is to help you climb, wouldn't it be aid" And I, playing devil's advocate said , "then all climbing is aid",

     

    What if you don't even fall on a carabiner, would you consider it used for climbing, what if you were just "rapelling" or "HEAD POINTING"

     

    We didn't decide anything.
