  1. Email sent on MH Nitrous
  2. Patagonia softshell jacket with seam sealed zippers that rivals most hardshells in its ability to shed water. Size M - I'm 6'0" 175 lbs and it's just a little too tight on me now which is the only reason I'm selling
  3. Probably a large in most jackets but I'm right around a M/L range, just depends on the company/jacket
  4. Looking to purchase a lightweight insulated jacket for climbing. Something similar to MH Compressor, NF Diez, etc. Shoot me a PM if you have anything similar you're looking to sell.
  5. I'm selling a pair of Vasque Ice 9000 double boots, red/black (03/04 version), size 8.5 (that I would say is true to size) These boots are a little older but are still in solid shape. Another cascade climber member I purchased them from last year used for one trip on Denali and I only took them out once to try and hike in them before realizing they were too tight in the toe area for me (I’m normally a 9.5 in street shoe). Open to offers, buyer pays shipping. http://picasaweb.google.com/aaron.tiff/GearSale#5519934148912513058 http://picasaweb.google.com/aaron.tiff/GearSale#5519934151496813682 http://picasaweb.google.com/aaron.tiff/GearSale#5519934158368197074
  6. Awesome, thanks everyone for the help.
  7. Thanks for the advice. It looks like the cams I'm looking at are in fact the older version with the metal stub. Are the weight/angle issues significant or would they be alright to use as a beginner set until I get more experienced using cams?
  8. I'm looking to buy a set of some lightly used BD Camalot C4's (0.5-3)and am trying to figure out how much has changed in the last 5-7 years in terms of their development. Has their been significant development in terms of extended range, weight reduction, reliability, etc. that a version from 5-7 years ago wouldn't have capitalized on? How much should any of these issues determine how much to offer? Thanks
  9. You have any pics?
  10. Haha, no... just getting rid of some items that I don't see myself using much in the next few years.
  11. Addition... $100 - Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero parka w/ hood and RMI logo, size M, good condition. There are some white cosmetic markings on the back (shown in the pics) that don't affect the performance of the parka at all. Picked this up a few years ago at the Ashford Mountain Festival and has kept me in WA and on Aconcagua. Only reason I'm selling is because it's just a bit too snug for me.
  12. I'm offloading a bunch of gear so take a look at the list and the picasa weblink with pictures.... reasonable offers will be considered. 14. Ya I have, point well taken. I'm more interested in getting weather reports if possible and as a very last resort in other cases. Just curious if anyone had experience using them in the area.
  15. I posted on the international board but thought I'd try here as well. Does anyone has any experience with using a radio on Aconcagua for obtaining weather reports and/or as a backup for emergency rescue? I've read that VHF covers a large portion of the mountain to put you in contact with the rangers. Is this the best option? Are there places in Mendoza to rent a handheld radio?
  16. Hey, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with using a radio on Aconcagua for obtaining weather reports and/or as a backup for emergency rescue. I've read that VHF covers a large portion of the mountain to put you in contact with the rangers. Is this the best option? Are there places in Mendoza to rent a handheld radio?
  17. Selling a pair of Vasque Ice 9000's (red version) I purchased from another CC.com member a couple of months ago that ended up being too tight for me. These are in great condition and the soles are hardly used and the rubber rand on the base is still sticky. The only use they've seen since I picked them up was a one day training hike and had the liners thermo-molded once (the previous owner had not thermo-molded them so you still have a few runs lefts). These are a size 8.5 which should fit someone with US size 8.5-9 feet. Just looking to get back what I put in them which was $125 + whatever shipping costs are since I'm in Boston currently. If you'd like to see pics, shoot me a PM or email to aaron dot tiff at gmail
  18. PM sent on OR Alti Mitts
  19. Hey guys, thanks for the advice. Dane, what is YMMV?
  20. I got a good deal on some Koflach Arctis Expe and wondering if I should upgrade the liner to Denali Intuition for climbing the Polish Direct on Aconcagua. Anyone have any experience with these 2 options and if the Denali is significantly warmer/better?
  21. Thanks for the tip Farrgo, what was it about using it that was a pain? Also, do you think the possibility of clogging the filter due to the supposed silt content is something to be concerned about?
