its broke, b/c it has a huge infrastructure from the pre-email days. it provides a service that historically was a goverment one and wasn't inescapably fucked, as kk's last post generally said was true of all public enterprises. the PO should stick around too, it just needs to shrink to fit the time and if in fact private enterprises can out-perform it even then, okay it makes sense for it to die (sure will piss of the philogists or whatever the hell they're called though) I don't care if it's broke.
