  1. This is a GREGORY CHAOS 42 LITRE pack. It would be great for NW training hikes, climbing and weekend trips. It is A SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT MEDIUM SIZED PACK, is ruggedly built, and can carry quite a bit of weight. The pack has MESH POCKETS ON BOTH SIDES. It's in nearly perfect condition and has only been hanging in my closet since I bought it, hoping my wife would join me on some hikes. $85 firm (206) 579-5473 I'm cleaning out the closet, so if this doesn't work for you, ask about my other gear for sale.
  2. I bought a dozen quickdraws at REI thinking I would try lead-climbing at Vertical World, but never did. I figured out that I am less of a risk-taker than I thought. The quickdraws are BRAND NEW. $85 obo . Call me on my cell: (206) 579-5473 I'm cleaning out the closet, so if this doesn't work for you, ask about my other gear for sale.
  3. New in box (opened)- I just purchased this watch a week ago by mistake. (I was really looking for the T6) Suunto X6 is a Wrist-Top Computer Watch with Altimeter, Barometer, Compass, Clinometer and PC-Interface The Suunto X6 is a perfect tool for any cross sports enthusiast such as a mountaineer, hiker or a cross-country skier. It offers a combination of three functional dimensions: it gives the user essential information instantly during the performance. A level of deeper understanding comes with the PC interface. It also opens a door to an Internet community where cross sports enthusiasts worldwide can share and acquire information with and from other users of Suunto's latest wristop computer generation. Includes Suunto Activity Manager (SAM) software that enables deeper understanding of the recorded data. With SAM you can visualize the altitude profiles for your routes, analyze and plan your training and keep a training diary. You can also create your own activity reports by adding photos and text to the profiles. The storm alarm warns you when barometric pressure is falling quickly. Programmable ascent alarm helps to keep safe climbing speed on the mountains. Menu-based user interface familiar from mobile phones PC interface software + cable Button lock Backlight option for night use User-replaceable battery Water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet . Features: Wrist-top computer/timepiece with altimeter, barometer, and compass Chronometer records accurate altitude profiles with 10- or 60-second intervals for up to 200 hours Shows elevation up to 29,500 feet plus vertical speed; 6-hour barometric trend graph to help forcast weather changes Water resistant, tested to 100 meters/330 feet Synchronize with your PC to analyze performance $160 takes it!!
  4. I bought this bag thinking my wife might like to go winter camping. Hah Hah Hah. It's a Regular length, and brand new with tags attached. $250 takes it.
  5. I'm selling several items because they just don't fit: Fila expedition Goretex bibs- XL- $100 North Face Goretex Jacket and Bibs- XL- $225 for both jacket and bibs I will break them up if you just want one or the other. All are in VERY GOOD condition To see pics of these items, click on "Items FS" at : http://gallery.mac.com/mschoenfeld
  6. Well, I thought I was going to Alaska, but I never did. As you know, these Ranger Overboots are the standard. If you've got big feet and you are going somewhere cold, then these might be for you. $100
  7. I bought these on the Bay, but I don't think I'll ever use them. They were probably originally in REI's rental fleet, because the size (13) is written on the back of each one. That being said, they really haven't been abused.
  8. These are the real military version. Well, I thought I was going to Alaska, but I never did. If you've got big feet and you are going somewhere cold, then these might be for you. $55 to the first bigfoot.
  9. I have an REI -20 bag (long)
  10. Interesting. However, my wife is out of town, and I'm stuck with the dogs. While I hike with them, I'm not sure how deep the snow will be and whether the old dogs can cope. Since it's a holiday weekend, it might be hard to find a spot in a kennel.
  11. Basic chocks and nuts
  12. What crampons are you looking for? I have several pairs. I haven't thought about selling any of them though. I'm still climbing- just not rock. I might get around to that at some point. Right now, I'm trying to widen an aisle thru the closet.
  13. Another hasty and unfortunate internet purchase. What I found out is that in an Osprey pack, I need a medium frame because my torso is just a little too short for the Large (which this one is). This pack is essentially NEW. No tags and I only put it on my back once. $125 firm. Pictures of this pack can be seen on my web gallery in the "Items for Sale" album: http://gallery.mac.com/mschoenfeld
  14. I never thought of that, but "FALL CITY" is pretty foreboding! Hey! I went and dropped the price $25. Does that help? The price is now $125.
  15. Brand spanking new Petzl Corvus Harness. It's still in the box with the tags attached. $45
  16. I bought this rack from one of the instructors from the Mountaineers, and I've never used it. He assured me that none of this stuff had ever taken a fall and I believe him. Why I'm selling: I thought that acquiring a rack of pro would make me go climbing. What I didn't realize is that my risk tolerance has diminished with age. I really don't think I'll ever lead a climb. That's why I'm selling the stuff. You can check out this rack on my gallery site: http://gallery.mac.com/mschoenfeld It's in the album "Items for Sale" I have lots more stuff that I will be listing as well.
  17. I'll get it out of the closet and take a picture or two this evening.
  18. I bought this bag a year ago on this forum thinking that I was going to go to Alaska. That's not likely. It was used once, I think, but not by me. It's just taking up closet space. It's in good condition (otherwise I wouldn't have bought it). Call me if interested: (206) 579-5473 I also have a closet full of other stuff I'll be selling including: Brooks Ranger Overboots- XXL NEW, $100 OR summit pack - NEW - $50 North Face expedition Goretex suit- XL: Jacket $125, bibs $125 Fila expedition bibs- $100 Trad climbing rack- $150 Osprey Aether 60- $125 (as new) Koflach Degree plastic boots- size 13- $125
  19. I can wait till you get back to WA. No rush. I sent you a PM . Just call me on my cell phone when you get back.
  20. I have a pair of these Lowa Civetta Extremes and they are a bit too roomy for me- not enough support in the ankles. I think mine are a 13 1/2 or a 14. I'd like to try on your pair, and see if they'd fit better than the ones I've been using.
  21. It's just the number that will flip my "buy" switch. I also happen to have two $100 traveller's checks left over from my trip to climb Ixta in Mexico.
  22. $200 is the magic number.
  23. I'll take the snow saw. PM me with contact info.
  24. That's OK. For $200, I could afford to be generous.
