    Geek Pickup Lines

straight from my buddy's e-mail yesterday. he's a quintessential 'rammer/'geer geek, but we love him anyway: collection of Climb Leader Lines: "Hey, baby, I'm a Climb Leader, wanna climb *this*?" and "I'd like to lead *you* up a climb" and "Hello, would you like to have intercourse?" (I think that last one needs a little work). And, yes, just for ALL your ENTERTAINMENT I'll include "Hi, I'd like to be your social lubricant"
  3. yeah, those are good suggestions, but involve more driving. grassy mountain enroute to poland lk was my first ski ascent besides, i want to do something new. i can take on some tree skiing (famous last words)...that is, unless i'm forced to spend half the day skiing the road approach. aside from endeavours to raise the technical bar in winter, i am bored to death of exercise in chilliwack, north shore, howe sound. i'm totally keen to beat myself up in pemby tho.
  4. i want to take my skis some place easy, where i can pretend i'm actually skiing. now that i've switched out my scarpa vegas, things should go a little better. i'm thinking skyline, but i've heard the trailhead is not that obvious. can you offer me some hints, better yet good directions?...forget about coordinates. anyone want to come along for sunday? be forwarned tho, i'll be a bit wasted. ....i get tunnel vision sometimes. this particular skyline, is the skyline divide off of mt. baker hwy, past glacier. i'm told the bridge that washed out, is back in place.

    Worst Haircut Ever?

worst hair experience(s): yearned for trendy 80's spiral perm; succesfully recv'd chemical burns & $25 Rx few years later... 2nd attempt at spiral perm; 24hrs of crying, chopped off shlder length fried tresses
  6. can't seem to get past newbie, or gumby. i was enjoying my new transgender election status until you blew the whistle squid. i was going to tell you, eventually dru
  7. ...if i should get a bigger rubbermaid for all my worldly climbing junk. pffft!!!!
  8. ...what the cc emoticoms are supposed to be.
  9. ...if these plastic bags were better than those plastic bags for lining my leather boots in winter.
  10. ...why so many of my climbing partners were still single.
  11. ...if i should just buy the used/rental gear package at Carlton's cuz i don't want to invest in another hobbie that i'll ditch within a year. little did i know how much of my disposable income would be dedicated to this stupid hobbie.
  12. well i'll keep trying then. wet coast cement might be fun for me, one day.
  13. in ugly snow, say wet heavy cement, it's hard to derive pleasure from the kinetics of skiing. and in these cdntns i fight less with my equipment when i'm on slowshoes.
  14. snowshoes let you: bushwhack uphill while hanging off the vegetation, climb verglassed 4th-low 5th, handle easy mixed, and create a spectacle of your buddy when he attempts to free solo the first 10' of panicdome in msrs
  15. don't worry. i haven't crossed over. it's only my rainy season activity this year. i just want to see how bad some of approaches are, with the help of some oversized rigs. hubris, that damn list of yours has piqued my interest.
  16. no. but i wanted to join the new car owner's club for 2005. mine is a zoom zoom b4000. however, i will not be pounding the shit out of it. we'll discuss off-line. anyone else?
  17. i just checked them to get my bearings. which one do you want to come on?
  18. ummhumm. that's sucky. but worse when all you've got are the venus fly trap roots to step into. okay, notwithstanding the blessed alder how about nasty in terms of what's marginal or damaging for a vehicle.
  19. i'm looking for extremely challenging. harrison west is on the cruisey side.
  20. me sew? pftttt! you've corrupted me with duct tape mending. they'd be sad looking shorts, and not good enuf to give away, so that's out. fred, huh. lol.
  21. what are they & how would you rate them? i.e. don't plan to be at work on monday; need approval of authorities; prepare to be rescued; impossible...
  22. should i bother? they'd be trrrrousers - 3 pairs. practical or creative ideas please.
  23. i owned a Saab900 Turbo htchbk, same era, 5spd manual. it was my logging road vehicle for a while. felt pretty skookum on the sea to sky hwy too, refined. i miss it. pals always enjoyed the hood popping up whenever i had to wiggle the fuses around. they were considered tanks too, but are now outweighed by the mini! good luck with your sale.
  24. yes, i've had my dirty paws on those shiny things...you are compelling me to bring my plastic model to work tomorrow to wg on the postage meter. glad to review the new wts tho. the rainy season just makes me want to spend.
