Wondering what you think of a presidents day trip to smith, never climbed there durning the winter, is it to cold if it is supposed to be 35 and sunny. How much does this limit your route selection. Just looking for some adivce. Thanks Bryan

Pair of HB Tornado Ice tools for sale, picks like new, paint not even scratched off of them. They are some of the lighest tools on the market, they have great clearance for bulges and thin picks that really help in delicate ice. If you want to see some pics email me. I am asking 180 for the pair + shipping but make me a resonable offer. Bryan Schmitz bryan_schmitz@yahoo.com

Well depending on where you are located. I would recomend Cody WY, hylite is closed down. But the Ice in cody is amazing, long and hard and no snow, you can walk to the climbs in your tennis shoes. Check out www.coldfear.com I think it would be a 13hour drive from seattle. If you plan on going the holiday inn in cody has a climbers special for $39 a night, can't beat that. Bryan

Oh, One more thing, I was also curious if anyone within a half hour dirve of Newberg, has a woodie that they would mind me trading some time on for a couple of beers. I thought of getting a punch pass at one of the rock gyms around here but they wanted close to a hunred buck and tht is what I pay for three months bakc in Montana. I would not be a burden just a place to keep the fingers strength in I will be here tell the 11th of Jan, either PM me or give me a call. Bryan

Bronco, Your veiw of Hylite sucking is in my view way off. I am a student at MSU and have put in over 15 days there this winter. Hylite in my opinon while not having the long routes that cody does, does offer what we like to call ice cragging all high quality high concentration of all grades from WI 2 to WI7+ 5.10X routes. If you have not looked at winter dance the guide book I suggest you do and then let me know if your opinon changes. Bryan

I really appreciate that everyone has taken this very seriously. I thought about posting it on Rock climbing.com but thought that this is the type of shit that I would run into. I had this slight notion that the individuals on cascadeclimbers where of a bit higher intellect and integrity. It takes a sorry soul to make fun and jokes about such an honest question. I really get tired of all the weekend warriors sitting in their office posting B.S. about this 5.8 they did and all the experience they have and making jokes of honest posts and questions, and taking seriously post like "Tape or No tape". Now once again if anyone has any REAL prayers I would greatly appreciate it. With Much Thanks and Little Hope, Bryan Schmitz P.S. I hope that al of you who spent all that time putting together those dumb poems actually got out and did something this last weekend.

I was sitting in church this morning and got to thinking if there was a specific prayer for climbing. There are prayers for driving, flying, ect.. With this upcoming ice season it would be good to have a prayer to say before each lead. So if anyone has or knows of a good semi short prayer, either of their own or whatever else please share. Thanks, Bryan Schmitz P.S. If you don't want to post it you could e-mail it to me at bryan_schmitz@yahoo.com
