Here's what you missed if you were snoozing yesterday morning.

Did I say "way"? I would have to believe that I meant "weigh".

I way in at about 195 and am 6'2". I ski some Rossi B3s with Naxos and the Megarides just had a hard time turning them.

Adrenalins have now offically replaced my Lange L10 Race boots as my ski anything boot. I originally bought them just for the BC, but after skiing them for the last three weeks, I see no need to ski inbounds in anything else. I skied the Megarides all last year and if you are a big guy and at all aggressive, you will be making serious concessions to your ski style with the lighter boot. I would never have skied them at a resort.

Nice. Now with your picture I can prove to my wife that I really was skiing.

philfort,were you the split boarder that took a look towards the Paradise glacier? Yesterday was the best turns I've ever made in October (okay, the first I've made in October). The ice patches were fairly easy to spot and if you stuck to the drifts it was 4" TO 10" OF fresh.

Ensure and Rockstar, so that's how you do it! I'm not sure if that combination would get me to my kids bedroom upstairs after over 24 hrs without sleep. That being said, one day you've got to let me ski the last 1000' of a trip with you, just so I can say that I did. Job well done.

There was a post a little while back that explained where to get the Burton version of the Stubai (exact same thing) for $40. Pretty sweet deal.

I've got one for day tripping and I couldn't be happier.

I went up to Fryingpan Glacier last Friday....simple hop skip and a jump with skis and all the gear on my back and not a wet toe in the bunch. Actually, it is one large step and you are across and ready to skin away.

Anyone have any experience with this pack? I'm looking for a new overnight ski pack and these are dirt ass cheap! Also looking at NF Prophet 45 and Arc's Khamsin 52. Any thoughts appreciated.
