Here's what you missed if you were snoozing yesterday morning.

Did I say "way"? I would have to believe that I meant "weigh".

I way in at about 195 and am 6'2". I ski some Rossi B3s with Naxos and the Megarides just had a hard time turning them.

Adrenalins have now offically replaced my Lange L10 Race boots as my ski anything boot. I originally bought them just for the BC, but after skiing them for the last three weeks, I see no need to ski inbounds in anything else. I skied the Megarides all last year and if you are a big guy and at all aggressive, you will be making serious concessions to your ski style with the lighter boot. I would never have skied them at a resort.

Nice. Now with your picture I can prove to my wife that I really was skiing.

philfort,were you the split boarder that took a look towards the Paradise glacier? Yesterday was the best turns I've ever made in October (okay, the first I've made in October). The ice patches were fairly easy to spot and if you stuck to the drifts it was 4" TO 10" OF fresh.

iain, What shape is the road in? Can I make it in a Toyota Corrola or do I need the gas guzzeling 4X4?

Ensure and Rockstar, so that's how you do it! I'm not sure if that combination would get me to my kids bedroom upstairs after over 24 hrs without sleep. That being said, one day you've got to let me ski the last 1000' of a trip with you, just so I can say that I did. Job well done.

I now just accept your posts and enjoy reading the abnormal adventures of dmiller, but WTF was anyone thinking, trying to keep up with you on this one?! BTW, you didn't do that in downhill boots did you?

There was a post a little while back that explained where to get the Burton version of the Stubai (exact same thing) for $40. Pretty sweet deal.

After just a few day trips with mine, I have no complaints.

Thanks for the info Pete_a and graupel. I've been skiing the Mega-Rides from FF, but the $25 a pop is killing me...any thoughts on the Denali vs the Megaride?
