  1. I've always found that the best way to convince someone is to first irritate them. It opens their mind up, and facilitates free thinking.

Of course, you can over do irritating people as well as anything, so you've got to guard against that as well.

I do the same thing, but change irritate to irrigate. A good golden shower opens up the mind nicely.

  2. Or maybe they realized that when the rationale to go to war was changed from "Iraq is an imminent threat" to "Spreading democracy around the world," they didn't really care about democracy. They just kept supporting it as a nice "fuck you" to the anti-war folks.

  3. Are they open early?

like 4 or 5 am. Early enough to stop off if you need to be at TLine at 6am. I go for the sugar donuts.

Joe's is the place to eat for sure.

Also, the WOOD VILLAGE exit is the one to take off of I-84. Take a right at the stop sign and stay on that road until you get to Burnside. Take a left on Burnside and it's a straight shot over the pass. And definitely be on the lookout for cops between Sandy and Gov't Camp as mentioned earlier. Have fun wave.gif

  4. I read it in some car magazine while on the shitter in a logging camp.

Before or after rubbing one out to the cover girl?

Edit: Clever dog, nice little stealth edit. Took you a few minutes to come up with a better response, eh?

  5. Modern automatics (since about 2001) get better gas mileage than stickshifts do.

Where'd you get that? I just went to the EPA website and checked out your claim. Most of the cars I looked at (all types), automatic is worse than or equal to stick shift economy. A couple of exceptions were the Subaru Outback and Honda Civic. Other than that, stick has its automatic counterpart beat by 1-2mpg.

  6. OLCC.

Just a little ways down, on the right, there's a product list (I didn't link to it because it's a pdf). This is a list of all alcoholic beverages the OLCC allows to be sold in Oregon, as far as I know. This doesn't mean that every liquor store is going to have it in stock, but you can call and ask for it.
