Not all roads are created equal. There's a lot of stuff up in BC I'd like to get to that involve long nasty 4wd roads, at least according to the guidebooks. My little all wheel drive station wagon is not up to the task, though having a partner with an SUV is an ideal solution. There are roads like that here in Oregon... and they lead to some pretty cool shit too...

Long sticks are for Dinosaurs and FOPs' We aint' talkin bout these! http://www.utahescapes.com/longboards.htm Holy shit!!! skinning on those would be so hard... 12ft WTF.... The ones to the far left got to be longer than 12 ft. No way dood not happenin... Although i'd buy some just to display like it said, for a pinch of gold dust... The lodge at willamette have some on the wall that are like 9-10ft...

No, wait, it is that complicated after all - what about twin tips? Oh shit, the turned up tail is going to change the effective running length, so I'm going to have to do all my calculations over!!!! I take it all back. Disregard everything I said! OK, I WILL! Twins are actually really nice in the powder... when you lean back to pull the tips up the tails still have surface area to slide on instead of cuting into the pack under neith the powder. specialy since the tails on twins are usually wider than regular shaped skis... Plus when a boarder cruses by thinkin he's really cool riding one of those manual things, you can just kick back and ride nothing but the back 5 in. of the ski... I ripped by one doing this on sunday, gave him the west side hand sign and he was like what the fuck!...

During the late spring to early fall I ride my bike to work 2-3 time a week and ride it to friends houses, bars, ect.. But in the past 15 months I've also put 30,000 miles on my 4 wheel drive V-8 pickup... Thats still alot of driving...

I don't think its gonna be hard to beat this year... although the snow was awsome. Willamette pass, the great thing about it is that you can ski alot of the out of bounds areas and get fresh tracks, better terain, and steeper line, all day any day of the season there.

Thats all I am.... BEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP... Oh shit the devil is nockin at my head. after 3 hours of sleep, waking up still druck from the night before. 15min. later Josh busts in the front door. "WOOOOO HOOOOW!!!" proclaming is his loudest voice, "I just got my dick wet and i'm still druck from last night!" I tell him to go fuck himself, and we grub some bacon and peanutbutter toast. Josh still talking in one of the loudest voices known to man, "Shit, if there is snow on the ground here in the valley, theres got to be tons in the mountains... Yeah, I like that kind of party!!!" So we're off, drinking wisky and chasing it with redbull... We get to the mountain and they have no power, only runing off weak ass generators... One lift is open so we cut a trail over to a steeper side of the montain and blast trough knee deep freshiez, making fresh tracks, and sportin wood... Noon rolls around and still no sumit lift... After doing some heavy damage on a bottle of vodka and pitches of beer in the bar, we decide to run with it. The freshiez are falling hard know, huge fluffy flakes... We climb to the sumit and ripp down the steepest side of the mountain, trough the trees... it was every thing I thought it would be... hhhhhmmmm freshiez... I dropped this small cliff 11-12ft, insantly i'm waist deep and snow is pouring over my face. later we trough down a jib on this log sticking out of the mountain. We ride it for about 25ft and bail off droping only 6-7ft, but boom waist deep snow pouring over the head... It was beautiful... After rockin ruff and stuff with our afro puffs like that four times, its about three and we're dead... We cruz back to the valley on snow packed roads only to drink more beer, eat pizza, and watch ski porn for the rest of the day... It was B-E-A-U-tiful day...

I would also say it depends on the tip of you skis too... I also ski a 80mm waist, but my tips are 110... I'm 5'8" and I ski a 171cm ski... I skied knee deep, and steep powder in the trees yesterday and they are great... Landing narl huck, sure you lost a platform, but a shorter ski actually gives you better balance.... There is not a huge difference between a 179 and a 181.... I also have a set that has 76mm waist and 98 in the tip, they a 183cm... my 171cm skis are lighter, more agile, better ballanced... It also depends on where the bindings are mounted, for balance that is. they measure they back from center. my 171s are 74mm back from center. Edited: My bad, disregaurd all comments, I know nothing about touring......

June 99' we packed in for an end of the school year trip... one morning we pack up some food and a whole lot of shrooms in a small pack... climbed both the Craig mountans, fuck around at ice lake, climbed to the peak between The Mat and Sac(name?), we were going to drop down into Huricane valley, but we were frying so hard we figured we'd get lost if we tried... The next day we were to hung over to climb, so we sayed in the valley and caught trout all day....
