    Sean Penn is an idiot. Doesn't he understand that, as a successful Hollywood actor, he is a prime example of what the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and radical Islam, hates? Sean Penn is a pathetic loser.

    Aaaww, now Greg_W, I didn't say our nation's best actor... just one of our better ones. Take his role in Dead Man Walkin or the Falcon and the Snowman. Few can play the pittiful schmuck as well. Okay, maybe Buscemi takes that prize, but Penn's a damn decent director as well (see The Pledge - it's worth renting.)

    Penn made a trip to Baghdad this weekend to "listen and not to teach." Some would accuse Penn of being a rabble rousing stooge, but I'll stop and bigdrink.gif to one of our better actors who has taken it upon himself to open eyes to the fact that we are belligerent fucks about to launch a war on a country who's people don't really hate us and who actually need our help. He was fair in his comments back to the locals. It's up to them to change their leadership. It's up to us to change ours.

    Okay here's one, bentonite clay. I get the stuff from PCC or an herb store, and it's a well known naturopathic aid for the following.... It's great stuff for scrapes as it forms an almost instant scab. It's good for stings and bites as it leaches out the toxins. It's good for the trots... just add to water and it'll plug you up long enough to get back to the car. A film canister worth seems to be overkill. It's light and multipurpose shit. bigdrink.gif

    Yeah, yeah... part of the reason I threw this thread out there was in preparation to send my shoes out to the cobbler. I'm just a little self conscious and embarrassed to hand over a pair of shoes that give away how bad my toes can smell (eew.) pitty.gif

    Voile Split Board

    Prior Snowboards is demoing boards up at Blackcomb December 13th and 14th. I can't make it up there that weekend, but maybe one of you can... and can feed a review back to this thread. See http://www.priorsnowboards.com/winter_schedule.html for details

     

    Prior makes a 172 swallow tail split and a more conventional backcountry split board in various lengths that range from 154 up to 176 cm. Each comes with the Voile hardware and Tractor Skins.

     

    The biggest question I have is how does the Prior stack up to the Voile Split Decision board of the same length? Trying to compare either of these two to the Burton is an apples and oranges comparison.

    Okay, hold the giggles and save the spray please, serious question here...

     

    I made the mistake of wearing my rock shoes without socks this season. Do you have any tips on how to get the skanky smell out? More importanly, do you have any cautions regarding the thoughts below?

     

    I've considered scrubbing the insides out with a mixture of salt and baking powder, letting it dry and risning with water. I also gave some thought to a soak in white vinegar and a rinse in water. The latter actually did wonders for getting rid of the stink from my polypro liner socks, but I'm not sure what it'd do to the sole adhesives.
