I didn't expect anyone else but me to have noticed, which explains why I am pointing it out now. So that next time you again try to come back with your ridiculous cherry-picking of the content of my post, I won't be the only one to notice, and it might just give you some second thoughts. And no, you didn't address any of the content of the post above that essentially repeats what you unsurprisingly keep dismissing as the "ravings of a mad man". What a surprise, not!

Indeed, ad hominem ad nauseam, and it's not likely to change considering the intellectual bankruptcy of the ideological descendents of Joe McCarthy. What else can they do besides trying to tar their critics?

Unfortunately for you, my batting average is excellent, and I don't need your approval nor will I take your continual ad-hominem attacks for more than what they are: silly little barbs.
-
I didn't ask wether you read my links so please consider some remedial reading classes. I said that you keep accusing me of rarely supporting my posts with outside references when in fact you chose to never respond to my posts containing references. AS to your latest sleight of hand, regarding a different thread, I posted a story above to which you didn't answer even though it supports much of what I have been repeating in this forum. You are a either a troll or your bad faith has immeasurable depth, sir.

The credulity shown by some people is simply baffling: http://www.soaw.org/type.php?type=8

of course, why didn't I realize that Fairweather suddenly posting about loss of privacy after 8 years of silence on the issue was simply a matter to laugh about. The GOP being out of office and quais-powerless after having implemented these policies is simply coincidental. I also own a bridge in Brooklynn that you might be interested in buying from me.

more unsubstantiated ad-hominem. good going billo.
-
Something for you to think about rbw66: your ability to see humor in anything Fairweather writes after all the terrible things he has said here, speaks as much about you than my unability to do the same says about me.
-
Nope, that term is reserved for crypto-fascists like you.
-
yeah right! among the constant insults and terrible accusations in a public space over the last 7 years by the usual crew that want to terrorize their critics, I have found much humor here. You are a funny guy, no doubt about it.

I am curious about what exactly makes you think I didn't click the link? how does it being a joke change my point, besides possibly making it worse? "fairweather cheered Bush when he systematically spied on americans, but it's ok because he is making jokes about our loss of privacy" Is that it?

The hypocrisy of conservatives is mind-numbing: http://www.democracynow.org/2009/2/2/david_cay_johnston_more_corporate_tax

Has anyone noticed how Bill likes to say I don't provide links to support my diatribes, but that he never respond to posts in which I provide links to substantiate my diatribes? It's called cherry-picking folks.
-
More unsubstantiated ad-hominem, and of course no comment about Fairweather sudden concern about privacy after 8 years of silence concerning Bush spying on americans.
-
Per usual, no acknowledgement of your supporting the Bush gang 100% and never criticizing its policies of spying on americans, spending trillions of dollars we don't have on their friends while further cutting taxes on the wealthy, etc ... just the usual ad-hominem. Barf!

David Cay Johnston on taxation and corporate tax cuts: lots more in the interview: http://www.democracynow.org/2009/2/2/david_cay_johnston_more_corporate_tax

Of course, there is nothing of subtance in your post regarding my comments. For your govern, I didn't call rob a McCarthyist, even though his regurgitation of media propaganda about Chavez may be confusing in that respect. And no, I don't particularly support Chavez.

which conspiracies are you talking about?

The slippery slab and thunder mtn area are granodiorite, whereas the rock at mystery crag at times looks like a meta-something. It is just an impression as I can't be sure.
-
Easy there, I am not that old I know from pictures that rock bollard belays were commonly used before pitons, and my natural tendency to stack the odds in my favor have led me to use them when I wouldn't otherwise set up a belay with anchor.
-
so, conservatives who, in the name of trickle down drivel, for decades pushed tax cuts that primarily benefited corporations and the wealthy, now express concern about the wealthy paying little taxes? Who the hell are you expecting to convince of your new found populism? Don't pay attention to what the demagogues say, pay attention to what they do!

Has anyone noticed how right wingers on this site and elsewhere are trying to rewrite history? I mean, in the last couple of month, how many times have you read our local Attila the huns falsely accuse their critics of racism and sexism, or suddenly express a concern for civil liberties, or balancing the budget? Yes, that's right, the people who voted for the GOP that played the race and sexist card for decades, spent massive amount of money on their cronies and adventurism, spied on americans in all of their communication are now pretending they think something has to be done. I wish it were true, but the lack of intellectual honesty they show is enough evidence to suggest the exact opposite.
