Only if cars were made exclusively for running into things and destroying them. A car can be used as a weapon. A chair can be used as a weapon. A gun IS a weapon, and nothing else. To deny someone their car could deny them their livelihood. To deny someone an automatic weapon in a lawful country with regulated enforcement would merely deny them their hobby. Luxury rights are fine, but lets not compare them to the right to support yourself and your family. even in today's world, there are family's that can not survive with out hunting for food. of course you don't need a an automatic weapon for that ...

You may be onto something there! My friends and I have longstanding joke about climbs we don’t like while we are on them but later sitting around the fire we rave about them.....they are called a funsuck. I think it is self-explanatory. some how i read that as sun fuck.... but maybe thats just me

we should not climb together Why? Are you thinking that our combined bad luck will multiply together and get someone killed????? NO silly. we are both recovering... so we should chill out together rather than climb goofball... although this no climbing thing is only going to last so long. eventually, like in a couple of weeks if not on sunday, i will go back to climbing really easy again. just really easy stuff OOOOOK. My favorite are those insanely cold alpine lakes on massively HOT days! well i prefer warm but i love to swim and have no issues with cold water.

Yeah, I know someone who had plastic eye surgery, and now they can't feel thier under lids... I do think that this culture is pretty jacked to hell, and that [most] plastic surgery is utterly rediculous. HOWEVER, there are circumstances that warrant it. ie. fire injury, massive birth defects, or in the case of genitals having a ton of kids and being permanently reshaped. Or as Muffs said from disease. i have had kids. i understand the insecurity that comes wiht having given birht and breast fed two children, one topping out over 9 pounds at birth. i was tarrified when i got divorced and went back out into the dating world. so far no one has run from the room screaming.... but i do think about having plastic surgery sometimes. just for cosmetic reasons. but then that is alot of pain for vanity and i don't know that i could really do it. I have had enough surgery that i actualy needed. and that was bad enough. I however would not hesitate if i had cnacer or some other reason.... other than my own vanity. and i still might do it one day...who knows

if you make fun of it enough we will find a way to change it.

i have heard of this before. I think for some women it is an important option. especialy if she is damaged or ravaged by a diseas in some way. I am not sure the risks are any higher than that of breat surgery reduction or ogmentation. either way sensation can be lost. it is a risk. all surgery, elective or not is a risk.

being given to overly abstract thinking processes, i once found myself drawing parallels between current US history and the dissolution of the Roman Republic. it started with the observation in much them same way that the ancient greeks developed a culture and political system that was copied and exported to the world by the romans when their empire overshadowed the greeks, the US had copied english culture and politics and was now spreading it around the world. likewise i started thinking how the roman republic dissolved under the weight of greed, militarism, and corruption; giving way to the roman empire - that maybe the US was headed the same way. i also started thinking how in ancient rome the constitution gave way around the same time gladitorial conquests became big in the colliseums as a means of public distraction, and i draw a parallel to television and it's influence on modern american life. but then i started thinking i was just having crazy thoughts. very true. and yes you are nuts

my heart goes out to you Mnt Mouse. i am so sorry you hear you have lost a friend. I am not a fan of big government. yet when Kip Kinkle shot and killed his parents and several students here in my area, i was devistated. I knew his father and took classes from him at the cominity college. he was a good teacher. I don't know what the answer to gun controle or the lack ther of, is. I wish i did. but it seems to me crazy people are going to kill no matter what kinds of weapons they can get. I think we would do better to help the people who have such serious social issues. Ride like the wind! Oh and i did. it was so awesome to do SOMETHING and work hard. My trainer spent the class yelling at me to sit my ass down and that i was working too hard on my foot. but she does that out of love. I only ate 1200 calories yesterday, mostly because i was busy as hell. got on the scale this am and i am didn't lose a thing. but i feel better. it feels so awesome to push my body to the point where i am really working, sweaty and tired. I love that. so thing 2 is playing baseball this season. i went to his game last night after i worked out and it was every thing i could do to not walk over and publicly flog the coach for the other team. totally reminded me of why i have always hated sports (team sports that is)

It is legal in Oregon to leave an 11 year old child home alone. they legally are to be 12 to watch a younger sibling or baby sit. child care ends at age 11. after that you would have to hire a nanny as there are no other public type options, very few if any after school programs etc.
