  1. So here is my round up on the New Icesac I have a 1996 model which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! BTW they Just sold Wildthings again….watch out for changes…they already drop the runners and harness production only making packs and clothing's…also I heard they really targeting the market towards Japan….So by-by local climbers market we no more cater to your needs BTW $350 for the Andinista....Kids just say NO TO DRUGS!!! but on second thought...they will get it from the Japanese market [ 09-19-2002, 10:26 AM: Message edited by: IceIceBaby ]
  2. The M10 points are cast steel and pretty much like the Grivel Rambo they can hold a mean point for a good time period the only beef that I have with them is the price of the replacement kit $80 also the Antibott is the worst out there (only last you couple of hours before u will need a new one...I know,… last season I went through 3 pairs while my friend has his (Grivel Rambo) for 3 years...YEP just another one of Petzl scams to con you out of your money
  3. I just hate rubber all together no sensitivity BTW they do have a funky hill design going on [ 08-22-2002, 01:48 PM: Message edited by: IceIceBaby ]
  4. To all of you shoe fanatic…this one is new comer Madrock They just came out first season out...I just don't have any input on them yet...however the price is right...and they have their own proprietary rubber...so we will see… maybe they are like the new 5.10 [ 08-22-2002, 01:40 PM: Message edited by: IceIceBaby ]
  5. I will have to say that my calculation was wrong…there is 24 in the normal retail box with all said and done…price wise…it work it self to about the same $0.89 a shot…but most of the peoples I have talk to said that Hammer gel is superior to GU….I guess I will see that
  6. Gu on sale runs normally for a $24 a box of 20 and then u have to add the shipping averaging around $6 pricing it at $1.5 an oz Hammer gel 20oz bottle is $16 with shipping of $6 in my case I ordered 3 so an oz for me cost $0.89which is 40.6 % off on oz Vs Gu
  7. try this for a much better deal http://store.yahoo.com/advantagesupplements/hamnuthamgel.html
  8. I need a Portaledge any one has a used one to sale preferably a double
  9. U got to love the EMS policy "100% satisfaction Guarantee" just replaced my 6 months old and used Pretzel to Princeton Tec AURORA…no questions (even got a refund for the difference in price) [ 07-30-2002, 07:41 AM: Message edited by: IceIceBaby ]
  10. New England ropes the MK-III MAX in 3/8 7/16 or 1/2 pretty much the industry standard
  11. All for all the Princeton Tec is superior. I recommended it to all, although I have the Pretzel. I wish I could exchange it to the Princeton Tec
  12. Try the Salomon Pro Rock I have the proIce and this it’s the sh*t I will let go of Sportiva since there is so many good and even better boots for 2/3 or half the price of Sportiva also try the Mountain Lite GTX by Garmont
  13. that was so hard man....dont do it again...I cant put that many hours at work
  14. At least you did your first…I cant say the same….I started on my 10th lead now Im in my 4th…or some thing like that…. Just pass the pipe
  15. So wadya think now….Petzl/Charlet Moser allow Mr. Barrabes one again to sell the good to US however the LAMEASS LaSportiva still refusing ….Hey Sportiva, guess who breathing by your neck- Salomon (which I now own…and I think I wouldn't go back to Sportiva ), Garmont- Great boots, Boreal and Scarpa that’s ok Sportiva stay aloof and don’t go to the peoples GREED IS A BIG MOTIVATION….I see the TNF take II happening
  16. All I read is whine, whine, whine - noodles salad, noodles salad F**K, is this country founded capitalism or have I been reading the wrong economical history. this is our medicine!!!….I say suck it up and LOWER YOU PRICES stop fu**ing crying and do right BE AMERICANS AND NOT WOOSYS don’t listen to bias opinions like Black Diamond and Duane Raleigh they all looking for FATTER POCKET and suck us dry in the name of patriotism be patriot with your dollar and do the right thing as American…Free competition I vote with my dollar to Mr. Barrabes or alike Now watch for the finger pointing game …its not me its them…the bureaucrats in the government should let this tiny industry room to breath and subsidies by cutting the tax on the products…and they wonder why the inside tourism is dying …if you would like to keep the dollars at home , just make it more attractive to the consumers. The manufactories still making mint in volume vs. markup…so it possible. Lower price higher volume higher price low volume to a halt….I don’t know how to brake this to you but THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS RIGHT [ 07-09-2002, 08:03 AM: Message edited by: IceIceBaby ]
  17. So I guess is do the math individually
  18. Icegirl? What was the product? Here Is my math Product : LaSportiva Nepal top Extreme Telemark peranees 223.24 Euro shipping via DHL (3 Days to your doorstep) : 54 Euro total = 277.24 Euro euro=0.98656 as for 7/8/02 277.24 Euro=273.553 USD Jumar: $252 USD shiping via mail (two weeks minimum) $30 USD total $282 USD
  19. Ill says it's hard to make a choice. But one thing is for sure NO ONE MANUFACTURER MAKE THE BEST OF EVERYTHING!!! Ill say, my wardrobe is build from a collection of brands and I have no favorite, since they ALL MY FAVORITE. Ill say that its all come down to fabric, design and quality. They all will fit in to the good to excellent quality, but will differentiate in the design and fabric. Therefore, Ill try whatever I think fit my wallet and me the best. Any and I mean any review on the magazines is totally biased. I do not believe to the brainwash they give to peoples. The only way to see if certain piece is working and with me giving it credibility is- to randomly select you average Jo from this site (or alike) and let them test it for a while and write their opinion about it. PROFESSIONAL CLIMBERS WILL BE CERTAINLY BIASED. SINCE THAT’S HOW THEY CAN GET SPONSORED AND THAT IS EXACLY HOW THEY CAN BECOME PROFESSIONALS, AND CLIMB ALL DAY. SINCE THEY GET PAID BY THOSE MANUFACTURES
  20. Do the math about Jumar and u see that telemark-pyrenees actually come cheaper even with the INFLATED SHIPPING PRICE so now if they about to lower it, they will be the best deal around [ 07-05-2002, 07:10 AM: Message edited by: IceIceBaby ]
