...I have many friends that finish off their stag with electrocution rather waste another bullet....
I laughed like hell when I read that...

I don't think he'll be 'banned' from the NFL in any official way, but I doubt any team will hire him after that.

Ah. I've done Reflection Lake -> Pinnacle -> Whapaneyo -> Leavenworth a few times, so I have that down, and most of the other peaks separately, except Castle. The only thing I'm thinking about is Foss -> Castle, but that doesn't look too bad, a ridge run, actually, and Castle itself. I think I'll do it next July...

Looking back, I can see several instances where we could have saved time, and I'm looking forward to trying this this again!
Examples...?

OnBelay Barbie is unimpressed.

Trailhead vehicle!
You beat me!

They say Mailbox is "The new Mount Si". I don't believe them.
-
I may be naive, but why would someone just take one anchor? Especially a climber? Just to be an a-hole?
-
I say tie 'em up behind the vehicle and take 'em for a drag down the road.

Is that Bush on the right?
You'd expect to see him on the left?

I would post a TR, but I only go on boring climbs.
But at least I do them often.
Will you define a "boring" climb please.....thanks in advance!
Boring, not greatly imaginitive or exciting... Usual stuff. I'm no great climber - 5.6 is my comfort range. 5.8 on a good day. I've done a 5.10 pitch once in my life. The last climbs I did were the East Ridge of Ingalls, West Ridge of Stuart, Becky Route on Liberty Bell & South Arete of SEWS, Scramble route on Adams, Coleman Glacier on Baker... All in the last 6 weekends or so. Pretty basic weekend warrior stuff. Took last weekend off and climbed into Starbucks.
What I mean by 'boring', is - who wants to hear about those routes? I don't! Let's hear some good stuff. There's been some pretty good TR's lately. I may come up with something good next season (hint), but I sure as hell ain't gonna put up a TR for the Becky Route on Liberty Bell! ZZZZzzzZZZZzzzz....

pink I labeled you the fool. while you may think this is all about you, it isn't. it is merely a marker for everyone else, so they know what they are dealing with when they interact with you. you earned it. i'm sure you'll attempt to play it off like its "hip to be a fool" and i wish you the best with that.
think about what you post and where you post it. spray is free ground, and while some people might get away with a comment or more outside of the spray, its because they have actually contributed to the board. So far you have contributed nothing to this board. I haven't seen a single TR or hell even a meaningful contribution in any forum. You're not the only one who hasn't contributed much to the board, and that isn't a bad thing in itself. But when you take a crap in the TR Forums or piss off a mod or admin, thats what you get. A title. The fool.
it can change if you can.
Ouch!

By the way, I'm no speed climber, but I am somewhat fast-paced, and another hobby of mine is distance running (okay, marathoning). I do at least one long run a week, and one speed run a week, and decide on the other runs based on mood or what I feel I need.
So what I'm getting at is I train for the marathon by running (what do you know). When I'm getting ready for a particularly heavy-duty climb, I train by going up steep hills with a pack full of extra weight.
Hmmmmm... Let's see here... Training by doing. I think we have a correlation.
Got hills?

Too bad. I love to run. I will say though, that running and climbing are definitely two different things. I still get sore from climbing, even while running 3-4 times a week in addition to climbing 2 days a weekend.
Doing is the thing.
When I have a hard or fast climb coming up, the weekend before I throw 3 - 4 gallons of water in a pack and head up Mailbox or Muir (depends on the weather, usually) as fast as I can. If I'm up to it, then I go for Si on my way home.

Oh come on, smashing windows is fun!

[TR] Mailbox Peak - The Trail Route 8/21/2007
in Alpine Lakes

All the times I've been weathered off that peak, bonked and turned back on that route, lost confidence and turned back because of routefinding issues, and you friggin' nail it on the first try. My hat is off to you, sir.
