    Obama's Speech

The exchanges between GGK and I are all in-kind, and I'm not sure which chicken came before which egg. Frankly, there are posters here far more annoying than GGK--who doesn't even bother making his attacks or trolls the least bit opaque. He's an easy button to push. Almost boring. But I think breaking out the racism card is ridiculous.
  2. What needs to happen before you completely blow a gasket? I anxiously await this amusement. They're all just upset that McCain's VP announcement interrupted their post-convention masturbation sessions and wilted their already-pathetic erections. They do seem to be a lot more "excited" about Obama than Palin, that is true. sickie I anxiously await another 4 years of leadership whose base consists of people who find this sort of exchange hilarious. Wait just a minute! Last night after viewing Obama's speech you stated that you were certain he was going to win the election, hand's down. Could that have been nothing more than emotion brought on by the messianic influence of The Chosen One?
  3. I'm not sure why Prole would go there. I'm sure he's looked around.
  4. Actually, I think McCain voted with Bush 73% of the time. Obama voted with Democrat leadership 100% of the time--when he wasn't absent for rollcall. (From memory)
  5. Credentials dont make a good leader. Obama is inspiring. Where McSame is .....well.....the same (as bush). not quite. Bush picked Cheney. Wanna bet McCain's cabinet is quite a bit different from Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, et ali? Actually, I think Cheney picked Bush.

  7. Sounds as diverse as...Bellingham. Population 76,000 with 702 African Americans.
  8. My daughter just graduated from WWU last week. I can't imagine having to go down the road you're facing again--but the memories are priceless. Good luck.
  9. Of course, she may get to be president before then.
  10. Impressive. At about the same time, Obama was a "community organizer". It's (not really) funny that both the Democrat and the Republican VP choices have better credentials than Obama.

    Obama's Speech

Bill, I agree that Bob has been rude and crude and I've posted that opinion more than once but I can't see how you could possibly defend Fairweather on this issue. He is in the top 1% of rude and crude on cc.com and he's posted all kinds of belligerent stuff that sounds like racism to me over the years. Again, Bob too scores high marks in the rude and crude collumn and I think it is all a rather distasteful business but Fairweather has been going after him as a homo commie who should go back to the old country so he pretty much deserves whatever flame he gets, doesn't he? Matt - I would like you, Kevbone, or GGK to show where I've posted anything racist on this board--ever. Anything. You can't. Have I bashed on countries like Canada and Poland? Sure. But last time I checked that isn't racism--and the folks that inhabit those nations, for the most part, look a lot like you and me. Have I used the n-word like GGK, Tvash, and so many others often have? Never. I believe you and others are imprinting your wild hatred of conservatives--or Fairweather himself--into your stereotype and making assumptions that just aren't true (My thanks to Bill for noting this). I expect behavior like this from GGK and Kevbone, but not from a "moderator". Bitter about our health care discussion? No problem. Name calling? Not an issue. Rude and Crude and belligerent? (Like TTK's comments about the new VP's 'dumb kids'?) All part of Spray. But publically breaking out the racist card without ANYTHING to back it with is intellectually weak, at best. I think many here should examine the brushes with which they paint regarding race, and certain moderators should reevaluate their standards in this regard. Matt, if you can show where I've ever made racist comments on this website (or anywhere!!) then you should ban me. Additionally, you should take note of oft-ignored racist comments of those here with which you are ideologically aligned. And, oh yea--Fuck Off. FW....if I called you a racist, I am sorry. I dont know you and really have nothing to back that up. Even if we dont agree..... Accepted and appreciated.
  12. Soooo, we're supposed to admire her cuz she's got two dumb kids? Wow. You're an ass.

    Obama's Speech

God I hate that. Good thing Karl Rove's around to "keep it real". Obama's supporters are typically more emotional less reality-grounded. Karl Rove, reality grounded. That's good! Here's his own take on the subject: "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality--judiciously, as you will--we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors...and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do." I'm not sure why you're talking about Karl Rove. He's not running for president. Neither is Rush Limbaugh, for that matter. Focus, Prole...O-B-A-M-A.

Can anyone name even one instance when Obama voted against his party?

    Obama's Speech

Given current odds that I've seen, making statements about who will win the election a lot like betting on heads or tails. There is still a couple months to go. Obama's appeal requires the continuous output of enthusiasm and energy. I think he has already peaked, and without a double digit lead to insulate him until November I think he's done.

Why? Voter's are typically comfortable with the (perceived) status quo--whether they're willing to admit it or not.

    Why? Obama's youth and inexperience.
