RUMR sent me a link to a post on Ascensionist .com, a judgement about climbers, trash and the way the Frenchmans Coulee use to be. Here are the facts: I seen the trash and instead of talk'n about it I picked it up and hauled it out ,like 2 trashcans of it. The way the coulee use to be ... well I have been spending the spring and fall over there for over ten years and know of friends that have given me the skinny from way back when. The place has been used for illegal dumping by locals for years and it will proably never stop, I remember before the clean ups, old trash barrels, car motors, untold nails from pallet partys and all sorts of illegal trash dumped there. If it where not for climbers the place would be a large trash dump.Proff would be ..go to Frenchmans Falls , look accross the coulee and look at all the trash where climbers don't clean up or climb. Some people are worried about the loss of sage brush(after all we all know how endangered it is over there) and I don't even see a loss , the coulee seems to bounce back every year with new vegatation The climbers that climb and camp at the coulee don't want to see development ( we like it rustic ) There are not that many climbing areas that you can camp and climb, lets all do our part to enjoy it for as long as we can . We can all do our part by takeing out more trash than we bring. TALK IS CHEAP!!!! BTW the Hero with the flat bed truck is at the coulee Saturday.Maybe we can talk him into another trash haul

Ther are two reasons I mark my hangers 1: To deter hanger thieves 2:As I have stated before I will pull myself any unjustly placed bolts I have put in. CBS your a right on guy... it is a lot more work doing good than spray'n The best way I have found to stop hanger thieves is to cut the end of the wedge anchor with a hack saw , place the hanger on the bolt, than when you hammer it in, it will smash the head stopping hanger removal, except by sawing off the head. If you are willing to do the work ,I will hook you up with some hardware and a drill. Good luck LUCKY

5.10 Guide Tennie I allways wanted to try this shoe but no one stocked it. The Alpine Experience in Olympia had it so I picked up a pair.More of a climbing shoe than any approach shoe I have tried so far and not near as ugly as the pictures in the gear catalogs. The Alpine Experience carries alot of out of the norm gear Great store, great people

BTW last fall I saw them doing there thing again but they ID'ed me before I could plan a group ass kick'n and of course you know the responce time of the KCSD. Last seen driving older white Subaru wagon ,Tall kid short light color hair arm band tatoo ( slim jim dude ) shorter dark hair dude ( does the scanning ) they now have a long dirty blond hair girl(good look'n) in tow, they all seem to be in there 20's They also like to hang by the river and nail the fishermen One fisherman told me there was just kids down by the river they know when fly fishing the river the fishermen leave there wallets in there car. What a cash cow that parking lot is , no wonder they can't be scared off. THEY WILL BE BACK

Of all the famous climbers Croft is a soft-spoken inspiration of integrity It all comes down to , don't be Dis'n or talk'n smack about a route you have not done , as is often done on this sprayboard. Old saying : Better silent a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt

Your definitly not a fat ass... that would be me... Everyone get's there ass kicked and my short little legs can not even pull off that stemming problem. When I walked by it did not look like the time to be bum'n a belay. I sign my hangers because of hanger thieves and it marks my routes so a climber knows what to expect, stainless steel bolts, hangers and ring anchors. Great day

Tall overhanging walls with lots of lead routes, textured walls (big enought for foot holds)throw in a good supply of cracks ......slabs I heard some climbers like that tilted sidewalk thing (slabhappy ).... 3 times as big as VW in seattle and build it in Olympia or so Tacoma A membership that would be good for all the small gyms in Washington would be cool also
