  1. Oh, I see, Frostbite Ridge. Sorry, I knew that was a dumb question.
  2. Sorry if this sounds dumb, but which route did you attempt?
  3. You may want to check the math on this, but I believe the No Zone is like 3200 cubic inches. I know Feathered Friends sells them. As far as McHale packs, I agree. Heavy, but carry a load well. The only thing is, it will take about 30 days for Dan to make one for you. Give him a call.
  4. I've done that route in late July and needed crampons, but we left for the summit in the early morning.
  5. The problem with your cub scout group being out there is my church group with 30 kids will be there; and a friend's girl scout troop will be there, also, at that same time.

    Plastic boots

I ordered a pair of Nepal Extemes, total cost was $260. I ordered them via internet on Monday, received the order four days later via DHS.
  7. Is there a map available on the internet, or can someone give me directions on how to get to the UW climbing wall? I think it is just south of the football stadium, but I'm not sure how to get there, either. TIA.
  8. Assuming a 200 pound climber, ten feet about his last placement, in the event of a fall, is there any way to determine what the force would be on the anchor in terms of kilo Newtons? I guess I'm looking for some mathematical equation. Thanks.
  9. Just curious, is there a general consensus on girth hitching slings? I'm particuarly interested in setting up an anchor, you need to extend your sling to make the angle less, and rather than putting a biner between two slings. Hope this makes sense. Thanks.
  10. I've seen a 5.10 ad with Dean Potter walking across it. Is that what a slack line is? Sorry for my ignorance.

    Barrabes

Thanks, all, who responded to this post. I ordered a pair of boots on Monday afternoon from Barrabes. On Wednesday I received an e-mail written in Spanish that they had shipped, and received them this afternoon. Amazing world, isn't it?

Has anyone had any dealings with Barrabes? Are they quick and reliable? Would you recommend them?
