John H Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there might be interested in climbing Mount Stuart this summer. Late summer would work best for me. I want to use the standard Cascadian Couloir route. If you're interested, send an e-mail to john.hamann@us.af.mil. John Quote
Rad Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 You might have better luck on a hiking/scrambling/peak bagging site. Most folks here loathe the Cascadian Couloir descent and can't imagine wanting to go up it. Quote

matt_warfield Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) A little more info. Cascadian is a common descent route for Stuart's technical climbs which is how most on this site know it. It is less commonly ascended. It is quite unappealing in summer due to endless scree. Earlier is better as there is snow cover. Great summit but much effort and time required. Snomad Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) Anyone know if Icecliff Glacier has ramps leading to the upper section of the glacier at the moment? Looking for a big ski tour next weekend, don't have ice screws, etc. Edited May 13, 2016 by Snomad Quote
