I can think of a number of one day trips off of I-90, but not alot of true overnighters.

Snoqualmie Mountain or Red Mountain might be challenging enough but just one day trips.

There are also lots of peaks out of Easton and Salmon La Sac.

The Mount Margaret area would probably be pretty good because you could snowshoe up to the crest at about 5,000 feet without crossing any avalanche zones and there are some nice lakes up there. However, you may share part of that Rocky Run road system with snowmobilers.

Silver Peak area is one idea. You get above treeline. Can go in via Hyak, or Lake Annette. PCT goes through there. If going up by Hyak, can ski in, even take the chairlift up to the top smile.gif of Hyak.

We just did Roosevelt this Saturday 1/19, that area beyond Snow Lake is very nice, the lake is frozen, can walk right across it. Gain one of the ridges on the other side by Gem lake, the views are great, can see and hear folks climbing Chair Peak.
