Road Trip advice

So the wife and I are packing up and heading east from August 3rd till the 22nd. We are planning on heading to Lander and then stopping by the Tetons on the way back. Is there anywhere else we should go. City of Rocks seems to be on the way. Is August a good time to go, is there anywhere else we should visit? We are good with either trad or sport. Looking for ideas.

Definitely City. Massacre Rocks if it isn't too hot (haven't climbed there since the City is close to it, and I love the City).

Plenty of time for a trip into the Wind River Range.

don't pass up an opportunity to climb at the city. it can be pretty hot in August, but it's easy to chase shade. get up early and climb on west-facing walls in the morning, siesta in almo, climb east-facing walls in the evening.

stop in Stanley and get some Sawtooth action - a hidden gem that I've heard some well-known (as in Icon well-known) alpinists call the best alpine rock-climbing they've seen anywhere.

2nd the Wind River Range. If you are up for alpine climbing, definitely check out The Wolfs Head and Pingora, two 50 classics in an amazing location
