pete_a Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 (edited) This has to be the silliest posting I've ever put up here.... Okay, so I bought an Outdoor Research Saturn suit, your standard run of the mill 100 weight fleece farmer john to use on Denali this coming summer. Most farmer johns either have a rainbow 'ass flap' or they have a neck-to-your-backside zipper for taking care of....bathroom issues. The OR suit has the neck to butt zipper design. Now, my question is, which if any companies make lightweight long underwear bottoms that can be worn under this suit and have a compatible 'bomb-bay door' fly...I heard patagonia used to, but can't find any such item on their website. snoboy Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 I don't know what size you are, but you might look into the Wild Roses P-system.(?) Wild Roses web site They are an offshoot of OR that makes girl specific clothes. I won't tell anyone that you're wearing girly underwear! Quote
Bronco Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 hey, I dont have a farmer john suit, but I think that thing is supposed to be your base layer anyway and you layer more clothing over it if conditions are that cold. which would be pretty frickin cold. I've got some 100 wieght bottoms that I've worn with just a shell down to 0 f and been too warm. thats my take on it. (I'm a maniac, mainiac on the flo-o-o-or, and I'm dancin.......) Quote
iain Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 Patagonia only has the Ice Nine Bibs, which have the "bombay" thing. The long underwear that matches is the R1 medium weight capiliene stuff. Maybe not as warm as 100 weight polartec. Quote
pete_a Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 Iain, Thanks! Took another look at Patagucci's site and found the R.5 'superfly' tights, those will work just fine.. Quote
