Tom_Sjolseth Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Trip: Prusik Peak - Stanley/Burgner Date: 9/14/2013 Trip Report: Vern and I climbed this entertaining route yesterday. To summarize: the flare chimney is hard work, but the rest of the pitches are fun. We teamed up with a party of two coming up the W Ridge and combined our ropes to make double rope rappels back down (thanks Jason and Luke). It was a long day (15 hours), and I wish I brought more food! Gear Notes: Doubles to #2, single 3 and 4 Quote
olyclimber Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Great pictures. For me, following Jeff up that chimney was the hardest part of the climb. I guess its easy(ier) if you have good technique! But I don't. Quote
Luke Jennings Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Tom, great climb detail photos. Thanks again to you and Vern for the excellent suggestion to combine ropes for a double rope rappel--saved a lot of valuable time that we needed for the hike out. I finally got around to posting my trip report for Prusik on SummitPost: http://www.summitpost.org/are-you-nuts-prusik-peak-in-a-day/879499 Regards, Luke Quote
