bolt_clipper Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 What are you replacing them with? Quote
Lambone Posted December 13, 2002 Author Posted December 13, 2002 Haha...well that would take the fun out of the "make an offer" game now wouldn't it... You know you want'em bolt_clipper...don't resist the temptation! Quote
freeclimb9 Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 dude, GA (GearAddicts Anonymous) can help, but you have to make the first step. Quote
Lambone Posted December 13, 2002 Author Posted December 13, 2002 (edited) Haha, thats funny...and true. But I'm just not that attatched to the Cobras. I wanna bit more nimble tool with more curve and a smaller grip. Edited December 13, 2002 by Lambone Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 Let me guess. You want the Quark Ergo or BD Viper. The Viper goes for $234 plus tax, or $255 each, so total being $510.12. So you're selling your Cobras for $510.12. I don't have that much. If nobody wants them I'll take them for $10, but I think that you would rather keep them then. Damn... Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 But $400 isn't bad. I still don't have that much. Damn... Quote
Lambone Posted December 13, 2002 Author Posted December 13, 2002 (edited) I'm not sold on the Ergo...te balance feels too funky. So I'll let you use your methods of deduction to figure out which tools I want. Not that I don't like the Cobras. I think they are the best all around tool out there, and it's treated me well. Mine are in mint condition. Used only on three trips to Lilooet last winter. Just for comparison, here are some Cobra prices elsewhere: REI: $583 with tax and no leashes. Gearexpress: $583 w/tax and shipping, no leashes ShorlineMnt: ditto Any other retail shop: you'll pay suggested retail + tax MEC: $450 no leashes, and wont ship to US Barrabes: Is not currently selling Cobras Sportextreme: Doesn't sell Cobras Second Ascent: word is they have a pair, but who knows ebay: $325 starting, good deal, but if you think you'll pay $325 4 days from now...keep dreamin Hope that helps. Lambone Posted December 14, 2002 Author Posted December 14, 2002 If I still want top sell them after this next trip to Mt and Wy, then I'll be open to offers... Quote
