mtn.climber
A small group of us are heading up Shuksan on Saturday, May 25. Plan to summit and exit on Sunday. We are all comfortable on glacier travel, but lack the expertise needed if we need to set up a rappel on the pyramid. We'd love anyone with that experience to join up with us. Food/beer provided for services.
tvashtarkatena
If you have one party member who is comfy downclimbing the pyramid, you could fix a single rope, and have the other party members down climb with a prussik backup. Last person pulls the rope and down climbs without it.
rob
personally, I would avoid using a rope in pyramid gully, especially if it's warm and things are thawing. There can be a lot of loose stuff up there, depending on the coverage and time of year. Also, I bet it will be a circus up there on Memorial Day weekend. It's not that steep -- I'm pretty much a huge pussy when it comes to downclimbing and I had no trouble downclimbing the thing at all. I bet you'll be fine. My $0.02 Tvash's idea is good, too.
