Winter Routes on Mt. Sefrit

So first off, has anyone ever heard of Mt. Sefrit. Its near Mt. Baker on the Noocksack Ridge, has anyone ever done any winter routes on it, I heard there was supposed to be a route or two worth doing.

I know of some people who have done it. Mainly in the spring. During a "normal" winter the road is stopped at the Mt. Baker highway making access to this peak longgggggg.

The best time to go is when there is some snow. It is best to go up the gullies on the north side when they are covered. Otherwise you have some scary, wet rock to climb with scant pro, think waterfalls . Also crossing the river down there can be a pain. Going down you trash, we found a way back up to the Hannegan trail that was a little bit better coming back up...its about a mile from the trailhead.

 

Got turned around at a smooth waterfall partway up so I can't tell you about the upper reaches. Also don't know about from the Nooksack side (south route). Good luck
