Bill8 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 There's a plan to pave Suiattle River Road to mile 21 by 2014. This would eliminate the 9 mile walk or bike ride from the closure at mile 12 to the Downy Creek Trail. The environmental impact study and public comments are here... http://www.wfl.fhwa.dot.gov/projects/wa/suiattle/ea.htm The comment period for the amended EIS closed on September 10. Quote
Matt Lemke Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Earlier last month they were already re-paving the first 10 miles. Quote
Riley81 Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Looks like the plan is to replace the road back to the Sulpher Creek bridge (MP 22.9). I call this a win for recreation access. FONSI Aayyy! Quote
JasonG Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Just heard about this recently as well....very good news from my perspective! Quote
