Intro to Baker

I'm looking for a good route to get a familiar with Baker. I've been up there skiing but have never made the opportunity to climb it. Not looking for anything too technical. I'm going with a few buddies whose experience is around Mt. Hood SS and Shasta. Thanks

Either Easton or Coleman-Demming routes. Coming from Oregon Easton would be a shorter drive. Either one has significant glacier travel with large crevasses.

coleman deming route. fairly mellow glacier route with lots of big landmarks if things get foggy. great scenery too. I would shoot for a late july/august time frame. Should be lots of other people around too if that helps or deters you.

 

(if the mountain is socked in, you can get disoriented, especially on the summit dome)
