Greg W, what is a "full-penetration butt weld"? Foreplay for Trask. Seriously, it is when you set two plates of steel (aluminum) end to end (as in, "butted") and weld them together. The weld generated is the full thickness of the plate of steel. Thus, you have created a full-penetration (through the full cross-sectional thickness of the metal) butt weld. That is all for today. For Monday's class, define FCAW and list 5 benefits. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted October 18, 2002 Author Posted October 18, 2002 "Foreplay for Trask." Thanks for the lesson, oh Greg W(ise in the ways of welding). 5 Benefits of FCAW, eh? Just have to look up "FCAW" and then we'll go from there! Quote
