Peter_Puget Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 1) Where can I buy thermal compound (eg Arctic Silver) locally. I want to upgrade a processer and since my brother is out of town I can't go steal some from him. 2) I have a small piece of granite slab left over from a remodel and would like to have it trimmed a bit and a nice finished edge created. Any ideas (Seattle) where I can get that done at a reasonable price? Quote
olyclimber Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 1. Skip the compound and use the processor to heat your house. 2. Don't be a wuss. Buy a bunch of expensive power tools and do it yourself. Quote
Peter_Puget Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 Come on Oly...I just know Santa will be dropping off a new processor Friday night and I want a new snappier server up and running no later than 10am on Saturday! Quote
olyclimber Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Google tells me Computer Sonics have that stuff. Also, if you can stomach going in there, Best Buy apparently has it. Quote
Peter_Puget Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 Thanks I totally forgot about Computer Sonics! I am surprised Best Buy has it and although they are closer I think I'll make the drive north to CS. I was hoping that there would be some place closer tho. Quote
JosephH Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Any countertop / headstone / monument place will fix up the stone, but the countertop folks will likely charge more. Quote
Peter_Puget Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 I will try the headstone guys thanks! Quote
