Gorge Ice November 2010?

Has anyone been out on I-84 or 14 and seen anything starting to come in on either Oregon or Washington sides? 11/23/10. Thanks.

i drove out highway 30 as far as multnomah falls today. nothing was in yet. a few more days of freezing temps might do the trick but not sure this cold spell is going to last long enough.

I soloed the left side of Mist last night at about 11 o'clock, no screws if you really tried for about 25 feet but then.... sick fun caulliflower ice, plastic as all hell!! I think it't supposed to be warmer tonight though. Worth walkin into.

Drove home from La Grande yesterday; didnt see a thing.

Drove the Gorge mid afternoon Wednesday on my way back from E-burg with my head hanging out the window. Another tease. Almost all climbs visible from the road are THIN or have flowing water in the center.

 

Ainsworth middle third pitch is blank, no ice. The upper and lower sections have a narrow thin streak of ice.

 

The climb with most ice from top to bottom is Wayne's test piece Black Dagger (did I get the route name right?)

 

The Washington side flows were not in either.

 

Kudos to Dustin for scratching up Mist in the dark. Double kudos to Amy for waiting in the car.

Lower Cape Horn Routes were starting to form, but I'm sure they're long gone by now. Managed to get a few good sticks in here and there but never too far from the ground. Hope the next cold snap lasts a little longer...
