televinny Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Thinking for a week away June 11 or so. Anyone been up there lately? Cheers, Vinny Quote
Bob G Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Vinny, I've been up there three times since the pass opened. I haven't done the Becky Route yet, but I think you should be good. We attempted it on our first trip, but we got a late start and got tired of post-holing. You should be good now. Have fun. Quote
pindude Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Hey, real climbers know it's spelled Beckey. And if you want to up the fun factor, bring your skis/board. Quote
YocumRidge Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 And if you want to up the fun factor, bring your skis/board. Yep , I hear ski boots work great for the OW action in Sierras: and on traverses: It is just a 5.7, right? Quote
Buckaroo Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 There will be snow in the approach gully but the route will be clear. take an axe or pick up a stick on approach I wouldn't want to climb it in ski boots, too much friction/slab action Quote
YocumRidge Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 The artist formerly known as "Dirtbag Packworks" Grunau, since then did you become an artist? Quote
