I got school then I want to climb Colfax myself.

I took a stroll up the Coleman-Demming last Sunday and was surprised at the amount of ice still left on the NF of Colfax. The top ice step on Cosely-Houstan looked a bit sporty, but doable.

The main trick for that route is COLD conditions. Otherwise the upper face that catches the sun falls apart, and rains down disappointment on everyone!

 

Fun to see routes get climbed at different ends of the season...

 

I think last year it was the NW couloir on Eldorado someone did late spring.
