Interesting, I was MSH Sat., looked totally socked in from our vantage point; guess not if you were on Adams.

It was even more striking to see in RT. Stupid little point & shoot doesn't do it justice from a tiny airliner window. Mt. Rainier was not showing the phenomenon:
