nkane Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Hi everyone, I'm a law student and I have an internship with an environmental group in Seattle for the summer. I'm cruising craigslist, but I thought I'd look for housing here as well. My ideal situation would be living in a house or apartment with a few other people, preferably in the Fremont/Wallingford/Queen Anne area, for easy access to downtown (where my job is) as well as the climbing gyms. Feel free to attempt to dissuade me from these neighborhoods if you think they suck. I'll be in town from approximately May 20th to August 20th. So send me a PM if you have something available, or know of anything, or reply if you have any other advice about living in Seattle. Quote
rob Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I don't have a room for you, but if you're working downtown, you should also be looking at Capitol Hill, which would be very convenient -- more so than Fremont. Capitol Hill has the Stumbling Monk, also, which pretty much makes the neighborhood a slam dunk as far as I'm concerned. But then again, Fremont has Brouwers, so I guess it will all work out either way. Cheers! Quote
nkane Posted April 7, 2010 Author Posted April 7, 2010 Noted. I kind of thought proximity to beer would be an unspoken assumption of my post, since this is primarily a trad forum. Quote
Quarryographer Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I have an extra room, but it's not in any of the posh neighborhoods you've mentioned. More like da hood "white center baby" Quote
MarkMcJizzy Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 (edited) I have an extra room, but it's not in any of the posh neighborhoods you've mentioned. More like da hood "white center baby" The WC has it all; lot of Pho', McLendons, and a killer taco wagon on 98th and 15th SW. Even the denizens of nearby Westcrest Dog park are bad ass As far as drinking, the WC has a wide choice: Marv's Broiler is always nice, as is the newly re-named Wall. For those on a budget, I would suggest hanging with the homeless drunks near the liquor store on 15th. Edited April 8, 2010 by MarkMcJizzy Quote
